With leakers uncovering more information about the two characters, it is speculated that they are set to arrive sometime in August 2023 as part of the major update that shall introduce the new region maned Fontaine. Details about the gameplay mechanics of Lyney and Lynette in Genshin Impact have also been revealed by data miners.

When are Lyney and Lynette releasing?

Hoyoverse is yet to officially announce the release date of Lyney and Lynette in Genshin Impact. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the future.

Lyney and Lynette abilities revealed by leakers

Through the Genshin Impact Leaks Subreddit, leakers have unveiled more information regarding the gameplay mechanics of Lyney and Lynette.

According to a translation by the Reddit user Vivliz, Lyney is said to be a 5-star Pyro Bow user and have damage multipliers that are higher than Tighnari's but lower than Ganyu's. The leak also revealed that Lyney's playstyle is significantly boosted after unlocking his sixth constellation level. Lynette, his sister, who also appeared in one of the earlier teaser trailers, is supposed to be a new Anemo character whose main function will reportedly be a support type.

Lynette, who is rumored to be a 4-star Sword character, features an Elemental Skill that summons an Anemo spirit that remains on the field for 10 seconds and stays on the field even when she is swapped out. If a character makes a Charged Attack, the spirit will deal bonus elemental damage. This implies that she could work well with characters who rely on charged attacks to deal damage such as Ganyu.

Players should keep in mind that the leaks are yet to be confirmed by Hoyoverse and should be taken with a grain of salt. However, considering more information has started to surface regarding the new region called Fontaine, it may only be a matter of time before the developers reveal more information about the release date of Lyney and Lynette in Genshin Impact.
