Genshin Impact Baizhu Abilities Revealed Through Official Trailer

Hoyoverse has provided players with a sneak peek at the abilities of the upcoming Genshin Impact character Baizhu through a character demo. The upcoming playable character is classified as a 5-star Dendro type featuring various supportive abilities for the party but is also capable of dealing a decent amount of damage. Baizhu is set to be released during the second phase of the Genshin Impact Version 3.6 update in May 2023. On top of the new playable character, the Ganyu banner shall also be making a rerun alongside it, allowing players another chance to acquire the Bow-type Cryo character in the game. 

When is Baizhu releasing in Genshin Impact?

The upcoming 5-star Dendro character, Baizhu, is set to be released in the second phase of the Genshin Impact version 3.6 update on 3rd May 2023.

A trailer video has also been posted on the official YouTube channel of Genshin Impact, revealing a sneak peek of the character’s abilities.

Baizhu in Genshin Impact is an upcoming healer-type character. His Elemental Skill will damage enemies and also heals nearby allies based on his Maximum HP (Health Points). 

The Elemental Burst, on the other hand, provides a shield that heals the active character and attacks nearby enemies.

Healers have been one of the least recommended characters for quite some time. However, with the previous update corrosion was added, which damages a character’s HP. This status effect also ignores shield which added a big challenge to players who heavily rely on Zhongli as their go-to utility support. 

Due to some enemies applying a corrosion debuff, healer-type characters have become one of the staple recommendations in the meta, especially those who have both shield and healing like Diona.

It will be interesting to see how the upcoming Genshin Impact character Baizhu shall perform in the meta once it officially arrives in the game.
