Former BGMI Official Partner Shreeman Legend Hints at the Game’s Return
BGMI esports personality Siddhant "Shreeman Legend" Joshi revealed in a recent livestream that the “good old days” might be coming back for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) players. He hinted at the game’s return but he chose not to reveal any further information. He is a former official BGMI partner and he stated that the game might be coming back sooner than we think.
BGMI will come back before 2024 according to Shreeman Legend
It has been almost a year since BGMI was banned in India and the wait for the game’s return is finally coming to an end according to Shreeman Legend. He did not reveal an exact release date but he claims “the game will definitely return to India before 2024.”
The controversy surrounding BGMI traces all the way back to PUBG Mobile. In September 2022, the Indian government blocked access to PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite along with 116 other apps deeming these apps to be prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India.
Krafton then launched BGMI, which was the spiritual successor to PUBG Mobile and it garnered massive popularity in India. Ten months have passed since the game was banned and there is still no official word on when it will return.
While the game is not officially available, players can still download the BGMI APK and access the game. But the interest in the game is slowly fading with content creators losing viewership when streaming the game. The game’s return could bring back a lot of the players but we don’t know when that will happen.
In case you are excited about the game’s return after listening to Shreeman Legend, we suggest tempering your expectations. We have had some of the biggest personalities in the BGMI community talk about the game’s return and there has been nothing but radio silence from Krafton. Until an official announcement is made, take anyone’s comments about BGMI’s return with a grain of salt.
