The first esports tournament of 2023 is ready to take place on LAN, all set to kick off this week with the upcoming Esportz Premier Series 2022 Grand Finale, featuring a total of five titles and marking the end of a year-long event.

Free Fire MAX is one of the games that will be part of this tournament, giving fans of the mobile battle royale a chance to witness some of the top teams from across the country take on each other from 3rd to 6th January.

The base version of the popular mobile battle royale Free Fire is still banned in India, but its improved version Free Fire MAX is still available in the country for all mobile gamers to enjoy.

A total of five open qualifiers were hosted for Free Fire MAX throughout 2022 from which the 12 final teams were obtained for the Grand Finale.

Schedule and Results

The entire Grand Finale stage of Free Fire will be taking place online as the qualified teams take on each other across a total of 15 maps.

Maps will be played out each day in the following manner,

  • Bermuda > Kalahari > Purgatory > Bermuda > Kalahari

Overall Results

Format

  • The 12 teams will take on each other online, playing a total of 15 matches across the first three days of the tournament.

  • Every day five matches will be payed on the following maps: Bermuda > Kalahari > Purgatory > Bermuda > Kalahari.

  • The team on top at the end of three days will be crowned as the Free Fire champion, walking away with the lion's share of the total prize pool along with the bragging rights.

Prize Pool

This tournament will feature a total prize pool of INR 10,00,000 ($12,092 USD) which will be split between the top six teams according to the placement attained by them.

  • 1st - INR 5,00,000

  • 2nd - INR 2,00,000

  • 3rd - INR 1,00,000

  • 4th - INR 1,00,000

  • 5th - INR 50,000

  • 6th - INR 50,000

Livestream

The tournament will be broadcasted live exclusively on the official YouTube channel of Esportz.in featuring talents like Biren "Bullet" Sharma, Tarun "AapKonn" A, Rocky, and Piyush "Spero" Bathla.

According to Esportz.in, more than 15000 players and 2000 teams participated across 18 open qualifiers that were held throughout 2022, attracting over 11 million online gamers. It will be interesting to see how the Grand Finale turns out, which will also be the first LAN event of the year for the country.
