ECHO continued to prove its undefeated status after taking down RSG PH on the second day of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9 Week 3. The first match saw a surprising Aulus and Diggie combo from ECHO which RSG PH could not counter. Despite RSG PH’s desperate efforts to retaliate, the match series ended with a 2-0 clean sweep victory for the super team, ECHO. This was ECHO’s fifth consecutive victory with no losses in its standing. Through a post-match interview, ECHO’s gold laner Frederic "Bennyqt" Benedict Gonzales admitted that TNC Pro Team is one of the most challenging teams they faced in the MPL PH Season 9.

ECHO continued its win streak in the third week of the MPL PH Season 9

The first game of the series saw an unexpected team composition from ECHO. With Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera’s Diggie executing accurate Time Journey casting, Karl "KarlTzy" Gabriel Nepomuceno’s Aulus was able to stay aggressive over RSG PH, forcing the opponents to play defensively. While RSG PH secured most of the objectives, ECHO won the team fights which put the all-star team at a great advantage and it closed the game with a solid win.

RSG PH struggled to flip the tides against ECHO.

In the second game of the series, ECHO opted for a long-range team composition with a solid team engagement from KarlTzy’s Paquito and Frediemar "3MarTzy" Serafico’s Yu Zhong. This worked wonders despite RSG PH having a solid team fight composition with Arvie "Aqua" Antonio’s Yve and Jonard "Demonkite" Cedrix Caranto’s Aulus. 3MarTzy’s Yu Zhong easily penetrated RSG PH’s formation, forcing it to break up and disengage. With ECHO having all the advantages they needed, the team closed the game in less than 20 minutes to secure a 2-0 sweep victory.

ECHO’s recipe for being undefeated is its unfaltering friendship

Through a post-match interview, the team’s gold laner Frederic "Bennyqt" Benedict Gonzales revealed that ECHO is more than just a super team filled with formidable pro players.

“I feel that our friendship, we’re not just a team, we’re also good friends, so we all trust each other. Even if one of us makes mistakes, we just cheer them up,” he said. “I feel that’s our recipe (for victory).”

Bennyqt also stated that TNC Pro Team, his former team, is one of the strongest teams they faced in the MPL PH Season 9. However, he is confident that ECHO can still win against TNC Pro Team.

“We struggled a bit during the battle (against TNC Pro Team) but I feel in the next fight it will be the same, but we will still win,” he said.

ECHO’s rematch against TNC Pro Team will have to wait as the super team’s next opponent will be ONIC PH in the fourth week of the MPL PH Season 9.
