Nexplay EVOS is officially out of the MPL PH Season 10 Playoffs.

After weeks of upsetting performances, Nexplay EVOS ran out of chances and is now out of the playoffs dream in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10. The team currently has only two wins and a total of nine losses. The White Tigers still have matches to play before the regular season officially concludes, but it won’t be enough to secure a playoff spot. One of the team’s pro players and former coach, Setsuna "Dogie" Ignacio (also known as Batute) shared his thoughts regarding the team’s shaky performance this season and what needs to be done moving forward.

Dogie thinks the team lacked a lot this season

Nexplay EVOS was one of the teams who underperformed this season. The team is currently at 7th place with no hopes of earning enough points to secure a playoffs slot in the MPL PH Season 10.

Popular MLBB content creator and pro player, Dogie shared his thoughts regarding the team’s performance this season. According to him, since he transitioned from being a coach to a pro player, all he could do was give suggestions on how the team could improve its lineup. However, the final decision still depended on the management.

“Since I’m just a pro player now, this season, I really have no idea. I just gave suggestions. Did I intervene in this season’s lineup? I just gave suggestions,” Dogie explained.

He added that he has no excuse as to why the team underperformed this season. However, he does have a suggestion as to how the team could bounce back in the future.

“My suggestion, since last season until this season, I want to reboot [the roster],” he said. “Don’t remove all the players, just handpick those who would stay, maybe one, or two, or none, we’ll never know.”

He added that after handpicking the players who will remain on the roster, Nexplay EVOS should scout for players who are “hungry to win.”

Dogie recommended that the esports organization should explore the amateur scene for potential recruits. He also doesn’t mind if he is removed from the roster.

“Get a player who is hardworking, a player who will grind, the ones whose life is all about Mobile Legends,” he stated. “Build some goals, scout in amateur tournaments while waiting for the next MPL [season], players who are not artsy, would wake up for practice and play RG [rank games] afterward,” Dogie explained. “That’s what we need in the team.”

This is the first time the team failed to secure a playoffs spot in the MPL PH since it rebranded to Nexplay EVOS. It will be interesting to see how the White Tigers redeem themselves in the next season.
