COD Mobile's Undead Siege Mode to Be Temporarily Removed After Season 8

Activision announced that the Undead Siege game mode in Call of Duty: Mobile (COD Mobile) will temporarily be removed and not be available in Season 8. However, the developers have promised players that the Undead Siege game mode will return for Season 9 in an announcement made on 11th Sept 2021. Fans still have until the end of September 2021 to enjoy the game mode before it gets removed in the in-game menu. After the game mode was launched back in Season 6, it received positive reviews from the fans which resulted in the duration of the game mode being extended up to Season 7.

Activision is planning on improving the Undead Siege game mode in COD Mobile

After months of requests from fans regarding the addition of a zombie-themed game mode, Activision finally gave in and released the Undead Siege game mode in COD Mobile. The new game mode hyped up the fan base and it received positive feedback.

Following the game mode’s massive success, Activision plans on improving the game mode but will have to remove it for one season. As announced in the official social media handles of COD Mobile, the game mode will only last until the end of Season 7 and will be returning in Season 9 with more content.

In the current Undead Siege game mode, players are tasked to hold their fortress for five days and nights. During the day, Zombies spawn less frequently, giving players the chance to scavenge for resources outside their base.

However, the situation gets worse during night time as zombies will spawn more frequently and players will have to defend themselves against relentless hordes of zombie waves. Each night becomes harder while zombies become stronger and casual wave bosses will spawn to make things more complicated.

The game mode requires a combination of strategy and teamwork if players hope to survive each wave of undead carnage.

When is COD Mobile Undead Siege coming back?

Each season usually lasts for about a month. The COD Mobile Season 7 is expected to conclude at the end of September 2021, followed by the start of Season 8. However, Activision is yet to provide the exact date of when season 7 officially ends.

Based on this information, we can expect the COD Mobile Undead Siege game mode to be returning in late October or early November 2021, when Season 9 is expected to start.

It will be interesting to see what content Activision can add in the fan-favorite Undead Siege game mode in COD Mobile when it comes back in Season 9.
