Coach Zico Official Joins Cambodia's Burn x Flash MLBB Team

Former Nexplay EVOS coach John Michael "Zico" Dizon has joined Burn x Flash, one of the Cambodian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) teams. The former Nexplay EVOS coach have made several hints in his vlogs and social media posts on which region he’ll be continuing his career as an MLBB esports coach. It was not until recently that Burn x Flash officially announced its new coach as the team prepares to vye for an M4 World Championship slot. According to Zico, if his journey as a coach outside the Philippines might prove satisfying for him, he might consider staying for more than one season.

Burn x Flash officially welcomes Coach Zico to its MLBB team

The Cambodian squad was established in partnership with the two esports organizations BURN Gaming and Team Flash. The team showed promise during the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Cambodia Spring Split. However, the team only finished fourth place after being eliminated by Team Max with in the playoffs with a 2-3 score.

Through a Facebook post on 18th June, Burn x Flash posted a selfie featuring its new coach Zico with the caption “Welcome to Our Family Zico. Welcome to our fire family. See you at MPL Autumn Split, our Flamers."

The team is composed of the following players;

  • Kunn "XE ON" Chankakada - Team Captain

  • Sok "C Cat" Roth

  • Ty "D7" Oudom

  • Vithou "Fury" Sovisal

  • Kosal "Im Your ATM" piseth

With the MPL Cambodia Autumn Split on the horizon, Zico’s experience as a former Nexplay EVOS coach shall be put to the test under his new Cambodian squad. He is also the second Filipino MLBB coach to handle a team overseas. The first one is the current coach of Bren Esports Francis “Duckey” Glindro who managed the Indonesian team Revo back in 2019 before transitioning to the region's powerhouse team, EVOS Legends.
