RSG Slate PH is still trying to find its tempo and new playstyle after its massive roster updated in the MPL PH Season 11.

RSG Slate PH Coach Brian "Panda" Lim believes that the team’s dynamic duo John Paul "H2wo" Salonga and Dexter "Exort" Martinez still need to work on their in-game synergy. According to the coach, despite H2wo and Exort being an inseparable duo, their bond in real life does not reflect their in-game performance. Coach Panda thinks that the duo still needs more time to build chemistry before they can build the right tempo and develop a playstyle that suits them.

The H2wo-Exort chemistry is a work in progress, according to Coach Panda

During a post match interview, H2wo shared why he and Exort seemed like inseparable allies both on the big stage and in real life.

“I don’t know, maybe because we both wear glasses? I’m joking, but I really don’t know, we just have a solid bonding,” explained RSG Slate PH’s star jungler.

He further added, through a post-match press conference, that Exort was also the reason why he ended up joining the renowned Kingslayers in the first place.

“Exort chatted with me back then, he said that there were a lot of [players] trying out for the jungle role and that I need to tryout also,” H2wo said.

While the bond between the two former Nexplay talents seemed strong, coach Panda believes they still need to do better when it comes to in-game synergy.

“Actually, compared to the bonding and the image they have, it doesn’t really show that much in their in-game performance,” explained coach Panda.

“Because, if they are best of the best soulmates, that are inseparable, then the spark and chemistry should also be in-game, and people will see it,” he added.

The coach further elaborated that the duo still needs more time to integrate their real life chemistry in-game.

“We still need to work more, but they still need a lot of more practice so they can bring the friendship and bonding they have to the game,” said Coach Panda. “We’re still trying to find our own tempo and our own gamestyle, so it takes time.”

RSG Slate PH is set to go against Bren Esports on 4th March at 6:40 PM (PHT). It will be interesting to see if H2wo and Exort would be able to replicate the same dominance that its previous jungler Jonard Cedrix "Demonkite" Caranto and mid laner Arvie "Aqua" Antonio in its upcoming matches in the MPL PH Season 11.
