Coach Panda Aims to Fully Utilize All of RSG PH's Players in MPL PH Season 10

RSG PH’s championship lineup returns with a dominant win against Bren Esports in the third week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10. The defending champions closed the series with a 2-1 victory claiming its second win in the regular season. During a post-match press conference, RSG PH’s head coach Brian "Panda" Lim explained that he did not switch the lineup because a player was underperforming. The coach simply switched because it was time for the second team to step up as he promised everyone their chance to play in the MPL PH Season 10.

RSG PH’s lineup swap saved it from losing against Bren Esports

The first game of the series was a smooth sailing win for RSG PH. Dylan "Light" Aaron Catipon’s Diggie provided the vision the team needed to be one step ahead of Bren Esports. With the enemy movements revealed, Jonard "Demonkite" Cedrix Caranto’s Balmond dominated the map with the help of Arvie "Aqua" Antonio’s Xavier applying map-wide pressure with its Dawning Light ultimate ability to Bren Esports.

After a disappointing game one, Bren Esports counterattacked with a solid lineup of durable heroes. This allowed Marco "SUPER MARCO" Stephen Requitano to deliver continuous damage safely in the back line during team fights. RSG PH struggled to keep up with Bren Esports’ momentum and team fight dominance, resulting in a loss for the defending champions and opening a third deciding match.

RSG PH went all-out in the third round, drafting its championship winning lineup which caught Bren Esports off guard. The game ended with the Kinglslayers securing the win with a massive 26 kills while Bren Esports only had 9 kills in its table.

Everyone gets to play in RSG PH, says Coach Panda

Through a post-match press conference, the defending champion’s head coach explained why they switched its lineup in the deciding match. According to him, he won’t allow the same five-man squad to play all the time in the tournament as everyone will have his chance to perform.

“The bad thing is, you want to do better and if you cannot prove yourself again because your chance was taken away, of course, the players will be depressed,” stated Panda. “But we always try to remind them, there’s always next game and it happens every single week.”

He added that “Just because EMMAN won, it doesn’t mean he would keep playing.”

Making the players understand that they will always get a chance to play and showcase their talents in the tournament. This will prevent players from being lazy and demotivated.

RSG PH will be going against Nexplay EVOS on 28th August at 6:00 PM (PHT). Bren Esports will have to wait until next week for its match against Omega Esports on 2nd September at 6:00 PM (PHT).
