In a surprising turn of events, China shall receive one slot for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Invitational 2023 and the M5 World Championship Wild Card stage. The two international events shall take place soon and shall feature the best of the best from different regions. This shall also be the first time a Chinese team competes in the Mobile Legends esports scene. This follows the recent release of the game’s beta testing phase with some of the biggest names in the Chinese esports scene announcing their plans to join the competition soon. Moonton is yet to officially announce which team shall represent China in the upcoming tournaments.
China to compete in MPLI 2023 and M5 World Championship Wild Card stage
With the recent arrival of Mobile Legends in China, a lot of fans are looking forward to a much bigger international event with Chinese teams joining the competition. It was not until recently that Moonton officially announced that the upcoming events shall feature one Chinese team.
The region’s debut event shall be the MPL Invitational 2023 where one Chinese team is set to join the competition. In addition to MPL regions like the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia, this year will mark the expansion into more regions, including the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and North America (NA).
Following the MPLI 2023, a Chinese team shall also compete in the upcoming M5 World Championship Wild Card stage. The team shall compete in Malaysia for a slot in the main event which will take place in the Philippines.
According to Moonton, one of the following Chinese teams will earn the privilege of representing its region in the upcoming international events;
Longlong Gaming (LL)
NOVA Esports (NOVA)
Keep Best Gaming (KBG)
Mi Ya Gaming (MYG)
