One of the most iconic Myanmar teams in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), the Burmese Ghouls, is returning to the world stage for the M5 World Championship. The team is known for showcasing resilience back in the M2 World Championship where it clashed with Bren Esports (now known as AP.Bren) in the grand finals. Burmese Ghouls earned its M5 World Championship spot after scoring a convincing victory against Mythic Seal in the grand final of the Myanmar Qualifier. This is the second time the team will be representing the region in the upcoming World Series event.

Burmese Ghouls returns to the Mobile Legends world stage

One of the legendary names in the Myanmar MLBB esports scene, Burmese Ghouls, emerged victorious in the M5 World Championship - Myanmar Qualifier, edging out Mythic Seal in their grueling best of seven (Bo7) grand finals match with a score of 4-3.

The team is going home with a $9,995 USD prize money on top of representing Myanmar in the upcoming M5 World Championship. This time, the team was fielded by Hein Arkar “Niko” Htet (Jungler), Kyaw “Blink” Thuya (Roamer), Htet Linn Hlyan “Stitch” Aung (Gold laner), Kaung Min “Lina” Khant (Mid laner), and Thiha “Carbon” Kyaw (Exp laner). 

The M5 World Championship will see top-tier Mobile Legends teams from around the world competing for this year’s international championship title. The tournament is set to be held in the Philippines while a Wild Card stage will also be held in Indonesia. The World Series event has greatly expanded with China joining the competition through the Wild Card stage. It will be interesting to see how the new faces of the Burmese Ghouls perform in the upcoming M5 World Championship against the best of the best.
