Nexplay EVOS' Setsuna "Dogie" Ignacio receives another challenge as Bren Esports’ Raven “L3bron” Alonzo challenges him to participate in the fifth week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8. L3bron started his career under the guidance of Dogie in Aether Main before eventually retiring and pursuing a streaming career. He was then recruited by Bren Esports to participate in the MPL PH Season 8. However, L3bron is yet to play in any of the matches. In a post-match interview, Bren Esports was asked whether fans may witness a clash between the apprentice and the mentor in the fifth week of the MPL PH season.

Bren Esports is rejuvenated after winning against Nexplay EVOS in the MPL PH Season 8 Week 4

The M2 World Champions, Bren Esports, are currently in a very bad spot as the team struggles to redeem itself. However, a glimmer of hope emerged after a successful run against Nexplay EVOS in the fourth week of the MPL PH season. Bren Esports still has a long way to go if they want to secure a spot in the playoffs.

In a post-match conference, after the conclusion of the fourth week of the MPL PH Season 8, Bren Esports was asked when will the fans be able to see L3bron in action. The team responded that it may happen soon. L3bron even challenged Dogie to play against him to see who is better between the two.

“Boss Dogs, master versus the one you tutored. So what, g (game)?” stated L3bron.

Since Bren Esports’ hard-earned second win in the MPL season, the team seems to have certainly eased up and are in good spirits. This can be noticed by how lively they were during the post-match conference and even made jokes that L3bron was actually playing in their matches without anyone noticing.

Bren Esports’ coach Francis "Duckyyy" Glidro admitted that the team was in despair prior to its victory against Nexplay EVOS. The team captain Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel echoed Duckyyy’s statements saying that the team’s morale significantly recovered after achieving its second win.

“When we played the game, our morale was quite low, like, we don’t care, we just played the game,” stated Pheww. “After that, we felt encouraged when we won during game one and started snowballing.”

With its recent victory, Bren Esports continues its journey in the MPL PH Season 8 as the team is scheduled to go up against Nexplay EVOS once again on 24th Sept 2021 at 8:00 PM (PHT). It will be interesting to see if the team can manage to continue its winning momentum in the upcoming matches.
