Bren Esports considers Blacklist International and Omega Esports as the teams they should beat in the MPL PH Season 8
Reigning world champions, Bren Esports, is now geared and ready for the upcoming eighth season of MPL PH. Through a pre-season press conference that was posted on 27th Aug 2021, the team stated that they are looking forward to beating two of the biggest teams in the PH Mobile Legends esports scene, Blacklist International and Omega Esports.
Blacklist International secured its championship title in the MPL PH Season 7. Omega Esports, on the other hand, acquired the former squad of the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2021 Champions, Execration.
According to Bren Esports, veteran pro player, CJ “Ribo” Ribo, thinks that beating Blacklist International is going to be one of their main goals this season. Ribo is considered the “greatest of all time” as he currently holds the record of being the most victorious Mobile Legends pro player.
“Blacklist (International), people say they are strong. Also, they are the defending MPL Champions, they didn’t lose so I feel like they should be the one we will be facing in the championship,” stated Ribo.
The team’s coach, Francis “Duckeyyy” Glindro also agreed to Ribo’s statement.
“Yes, Blacklist (International),” echoed Duckeyy.
However, Bren Esports’ team captain, Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel has a different team in mind. He thinks that Omega Esports should be the team they should aim at defeating in the upcoming MPL PH Season 8.
“For me, Omega (Esports). They are the ones who dropped us last season,” stated Pheww.
The team also thanked their fans for their continued support despite their subpar performance last season. Bren Esports vowed to do better in the MPL PH Season 8.
“A lot of thanks for the undying support for Bren Esports Mobile Legends team. We will do our best to defend our World Title,” stated Duckeyy.
Bren Esports is scheduled to go against ECHO on 28th Aug 2021 for the first week of the MPL PH Season 8. It will be interesting to see if the world champions have improved their performance for this season.
