Battlegrounds Mobile India Open Challenge (BMOC) was announced as part of the BGMI esports roadmap back in February along with other official Krafton tournaments. Registrations for BMOC were due to start during late February and continue till the start of the in-game qualifiers, which were to go live tomorrow. However, the tournament and registration process has been delayed by a few weeks. BGMI shoutcaster Ocean Sharma confirmed on his stream that BMOC registration would start on Monday, 14th March. The in-game qualifiers are now likely to start at the end of the month. Teams will have to register a squad of six players. All registering players will have to be at least 16 years old to be eligible to play in the tournament. Krafton has dropped a teaser for Battlegrounds Mobile India Mobile Open Challenge. The BMOC registration link is expected to go live on the official BGMI esports website by March 14th.
Registration and Format for BMOC and BMPS Season 1
The registration link for BMOC will tentatively go live on the official BGMI website on Monday, 14th March.
The top 512 teams from the BMOC in-game qualifiers will move to round 1 of the tournament.
Out of these the top 256 will move on to round 2.
The top 64 go through to round 3 where they will compete for one of 24 spots in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) Season 1.
These 24 teams qualifying from BMOC will face a set of invited teams in the qualifier for BMPS Season 1.
Out of this pool of BMOC and invited teams, 24 will qualify for the second stage of BMPS and face-off in a challenging round robin format.
The top 16 teams from the 24 qualifying teams will play in the Grand Finals of BMPS Season 1 for a share of the massive prize pool of INR 2 crores.
