The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Indonesia (MPL ID) team, Bigetron Alpha, announced the release of its Filipino imports - Gold Laner Mark "Markyyyyy" Capacio and Coach Jian "Pauloxpert" Munsayac. The announcement was made weeks after the conclusion of the MPL ID Season 11 where Bigetron Alpha finished 5th-6th place. Markyyy has been with the team since Season 10. Pauloxpert, on the other hand, recently joined the squad for Season 11 before being released shortly after. It is yet to be announced whether the two talents will be joining a new team for the MPL ID Season 12 or going back to the Philippines and continuing their esports career in their home region.
Bigetron Alpha bids farewell to Markyyy and Pauloxpert
Through an Instagram post on 24th April 2023, Bigetron Alpha announced the departure of its Filipino imports.
“THANK YOU MARKY & COACH PAULO. The journey is not short but very meaningful. Loyalty and high determination are always shown at every opportunity,” the page wrote.
Bigetron Alpha thanked the two talents and wished them luck in their next journey.
“Now the time has come to say goodbye to each other after wading through stages in an adventure that will never be forgotten. Thank you for your struggle with Bigetron Alpha. We'll see you soon. Good luck on your next journey!” captioned Bigetron Alpha.
The Red Robots acquired Markyyy back in Season 10 where the team saw a significant improvement in its performance. From finishing 5th-6th place back in Seasons 8 and 9, Bigetron Alpha finished in a convincing 4th place in the next season and even won the Kohai Championship MLBB Season 2, a tournament featuring teams from Indonesia and Malaysia.
The team later acquired Pauloxpert for MPL ID Season 11. However, the squad could not keep its momentum going and only finished 5th-6th place after losing against Alter Ego with a 2-3 scoreline in the playoffs.
Through a press conference, Pauloxpert revealed that a communication issue was plaguing the team due to the language barrier between the Indonesian player and the Filipino import Markyyyy.
"They think that the communication is an issue since Markyyyyy’s Bahasa Indo[nesia] isn’t that good that’s why Saken [Dicky Cahyana] was signed in, the other Gold Laner,” explained the Filipino Coach.
This language barrier may have prompted the squad to release its Filipino imports to focus on improving its all-Indonesian squad for the MPL ID Season 12.
