BGMS Season 2 Sparks Rivalry Between Former Teammates Saumraj and Pukar

Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 has been an exciting tournament. New as well as experienced teams are putting up great fights against each other.

BGMS Season 2 has ignited a lot of rivalries like  Tanmay “Scout” Singh vs Harmandeep “Mavi” Singh or Scout vs Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal. The rivalries of ex teammates turned foes and young talent vs veterans has been amazing to witness.  

In an interview with Nodwin Gaming former teammates Pukar “Pukar” Singla and Saumya “Saumraj” Raj shared their experience and talked about them splitting up as a team.

Pukar and Saumraj share their thoughts on splitting the team, BGMS Season 2 LAN event, and more

Saumraj is regarded as one of the best In Game Leaders (IGL) in BGMI. He is known for his excellent game sense and rotations. Pukar is one of the best Entry Fraggers in BGMI and has been delivering consistent performances.

Pukar and Saumraj played together in Skylightz Gaming. The team was regarded as one of the best teams in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and one of its notable achievements was being crowned the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 champion. Later, Pukar joined Team X Spark in 2023 with the ambition of becoming an IGL.

In an interview with Mannu “Krat” Karki on Nodwin Gaming’s Youtube channel, both shared their journey and how difficult it was to part ways with each other.

Pukar was asked about the excitement of playing a LAN event after such a long period, he responded that, “We played a LAN event six months ago and playing another one after such a long period is exciting”, and when asked about his current team’s roster he said, “Our current roster consist of me, Scout, Aditya, Dreams and Sarang”.

When asked about not getting a direct slot in the Semi Finals and targeting Team X Spark on social media, Saumraj Said, “I didn't want to target any team. I just thought that I deserved a slot after being BGIS 2021 champion and performing exceptionally in last year's LAN event”.

Saumraj was asked about his reaction when Pukar formed a new team and what were the possibilities of his comeback into the team, to which he replied, “We were ready for both possibilities, one he comes back or second he doesn't. In the end he didn't come back, which is ok”. 

Pukar was asked if the decision to split up was difficult as both of them had played together for such a long period of time. He said that, “It was not an easy decision as I also had previous opportunities to leave the team. But the decision was taken as things were not right for me in Skylightz Gaming and I also wanted to be the IGL of a team”.

Team X Spark is having an excellent time in BGMS Season 2. The team has shown a lot of potential under the Leadership of Pukar. On the other hand Saumraj’s current team, Entity, is placed at the bottom of the table and has failed to live up to the expectations of the fans.

This season of rivalries is ongoing in the BGMS Season 2. Fans are expecting a tough competition between their favorite players and teams. Who will come out on top between Saumraj and Pukar is yet to be seen.
