BGMI Expected Updates: Version 2.6 Features, Download Size, Requirements, And More

The all-new 2.6 Update is now live in PUBG Mobile and along with it there have been some significant updates made to the classic battle royale gameplay. As Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is making its relaunch in India, many of these changes are expected to reflect in the latest version along with the government provided guidelines. 

Expected updates in BGMI Classic Mode

New Full-Auto Mod attachment: First and foremost, M1614 and MK47, both the semi-automatic ARs will receive a full-auto upgrade. Players can now find this ‘Full-Auto Mod attachment’ as ground loot and equip this to use the guns in full auto. Do note that even in auto mode, the fire rate of these guns will remain significantly less than their counterparts like the M416. 

Companion Spectating System: Now an eliminated teammate can transform into a companion by taking up the avatar of a pet and get a view of the match from the companion's POV. The companion will be visible to teammates only, and the companion himself will not be able to see or hear any enemies.

Tactical Attachment Applicable Mode Updates: Players can now attach a gun shield on firearms like M249 that will protect them from incoming damage at the cost of reduced area of view. 

Full movement speed on SMGs: This is a huge update for close combat lovers as you can now fire and sprint at the same time using SMGs. There will be absolutely no movement penalties for these guns, making it an absolute favorite in crosshair duels.

Melee Weapon Revision: All melee weapons are grouped under the new Machete. Weapon finishes can now be added to Machetes. Animation is adjusted accordingly.

Throwables Improvements: Grenades and all the other throwables now come with improved animation, reduced recoil, and other basic updates.

Convertible Sports Car Mechanic: The Open and Closed Top Mirado is now a single vehicle with a convertible roof. The same adjustment has been made to UAZ.

Vehicle Improvements: After Miramar, Monster Truck is now added to Erangel along with Open Mirado. The UAZ now replaces pickups in Sanhok and Miramar.

Supply Shop Item Adjustments in Livik: Supply Shops now carry QBZ instead of AKM

Match Withdrawal Penalty Adjustments: Players' merit won't be deducted if they exit a match before boarding the plane

Chicken Dinner Adjustment: Improved chicken dinner UI and victory dance.

Apart from these, there have been a lot of theme related updates, graphics improvements, and updates in metro royale. Krafton will release the full patch update once the game goes live. As for BGMI exclusive updates, there will be modifications which may include no-blood gameplay, wardrobe restrictions and more. There have been updates already made to the game’s privacy section related to server security and underaged gamers. To be absolutely certain about the in-game changes, the community still needs to hold their excitement a bit longer as Krafton finishes up with their relaunch process.

BGMI Minimum Requirements 

Specs: As per requirements provided by the official website, android players will need minimum Android 4.3 or higher, GPU– Adreno (TM) 306 or Higher GPU and minimum 1.5 GB of RAM. For iOS, the requirements are iOS 9.0 or lateriPad, iPadOS 9.0 or later with minimum RAM – Min 2 GB RAM. 

However, the requirements are could likely be outdated so players are advised to use a little more modern hardware for a seamless experience. 

BGMI Download Size

Size: The APK download size of the BGMI 2.6 update is expected to be comparable to the PUBG Mobile 2.6 update, which was recently launched. Based on this similarity, players can expect the size of the BGMI 2.6 update APK to range between 600 MB and 700 MB. It is important to note that this is an estimate and the actual size may vary slightly.

After successfully downloading the APK file, players will be required to download a resource packs to proceed with the installation. They are expected have two options to choose from: the Low-spec Resource Pack and the HD Resource Pack. These resource packs are expected to consume another 1.5GB of data and the size of the game may increase by another 4GB.
