BGMI 3.1 Update: Sky High Spectacle Mode, Bentley and Mumbai Indians Collab, WOW Mode

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) brings in a major update every two months. Each major update is based on a certain theme and the events and modes in the new update are based on that similar theme. In this article we will talk about the next major update in BGMI which is the 3.1 update and the changes and the new features it has to offer.

BGMI 3.1 Update new features detailed

In a recently uploaded video on the official BGMI Youtube Channel, several BGMI esports athletes discuss the upcoming update in the game. The next major update in BGMI is 3.1 and it will introduce some unique features and exciting collaborations with the Mumbai Indians Cricket Team and a collaboration with Bentley for exclusive vehicle skins. The 3.1 update is expected to be available on 27th March on Android and iOS devices.

These are some of the features in the new BGMI 3.1 update:

Nimbus Island:

Two floating islands on the map of Erangel which will provide level 3 loot to the players and will also act as a hot drop for the enemies. Players eliminated on Nimbus Island will be able to respawn again. 

Floating Ships:

Floating Ships will be seen on the map of Erangel. Players will be required to have a flying carpet available in the game to travel to the Floating Ships. The Floating Ships will also provide level 3 loot to the players.

Treasure Maps:

Located on the Nimbus Islands, players will be able to enter the Treasure Maps location through a portal and acquire magic spells which can be used in the further stages of the match.

Magic Carpet:

The Magic Carpet can be used to make cover against enemies in open areas. It can be used to fly in the air from one place to another and also travel to the Floating Ships. The Magic Carpet will create a shield for players when travelling in the air.

Portal:

The new update will provide a portal stick which can be used to make portals and travel from one place to another in a matter of seconds. Players can also throw utilities like Grenades and Smoke Grenades through the portal.

BGMI x Bentley collaboration:

Since the unban of BGMI in May 2023, Krafton has collaborated with numerous brands and has provided players with a number of vehicles in the game like Aston Martin, Buggati and more. The new update will feature an exclusive collection of Bentley skins for players to use in matches.

Mumbai Indians x BGMI collaboration:

The Mumbai Indians x BGMI collaboration will introduce four new skins, DP-28, Backpack, Dacia and a Mumbai Indians character costume. 

Wow Mode:

Players will be able to use the Wow mode for competitive practice. Players can customize the landscapes in the map according to their choice and play on it to improve their gun power.

New Events: 

A new X Suit event named Ignis XSuit will also be introduced with the 3.1 update and will also feature skins for weapons like the AMR. A new Gold Spin event named Clout Courtyard will also be revealed and will feature character costumes and weapon skins. 

The new update will be released soon and will be available to players from 7 AM onwards on Android devices and later on in iOS devices. Apart from the new features, the exclusive collaborations and the new XSuit event will be one to watch out for.
