The marquee Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) event of the year, BGMI India Series (BGIS) 2024 will kick off from 4th April. Krafton, the games publisher has revealed the details of the event. The event boasts a prize pool of INR 2 Crores with prize money for individual performances. In this article we will take a look at the format, dates, prize pool distribution, registration of the event.

BGIS 2024 Format detailed

The BGIS 2024 event will have the same format as before with the qualifiers being played in the The Grind event, where teams will be invited to compete and will be then slotted further as per their standings in this event. 

This is the format for BGIS 2024 The Grind:

The Grind (4th April to 28th April):

In The Grind event, 256 teams will be invited and will be divided into 16 groups. Each group will play 3 matches in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, based on the overall standings, the 256 teams will be divided into 16 groups again and play 3 matches for the next 2 weeks. The top 64 teams based on the cumulative overall standings of the 4 weeks will qualify for the BGIS 2024 main event in the following rounds:

Teams slots for BGIS 2024 main event according to their standings in The Grind event:

  • 1st –16th Ranked Teams - BGIS 2024 Round 4 

  • 17th – 32nd Ranked Teams - BGIS 2024 Round 3 

  • 33rd – 64th Ranked Teams - BGIS 2024 Round 2

Format

BGIS 2024 main event format:

  • Round 1 (2nd May to 5th May)

  • Round 2 (9th May to 12th May)

  • Round 3 (16th May to 19th May)

  • Round 4 (23rd May to 26th May)

  • Wildcard Entry (30th May to 2nd June)

  • Semi Finals Week 1 (6th June to 9th June)

  • Semi Finals Week 2 (13th June to 16th June)

  • Grand Finals (28th June to 30th June)

Prize Pool

Prize Pool Distribution

This is the prize pool distribution for the event:

  • Champions - INR 60 Lakhs

  • Runners up - INR 30 Lakhs

  • 2nd Runners up - INR 20 Lakhs

  • 4th place - INR 15 Lakhs

  • 5th place - INR 12.5 Lakhs

  • 6th place - INR 10 Lakhs

  • 7th place - INR 9 Lakhs

  • 8th place - INR 8 Lakhs

  • 9th and 10th place - INR 6 Lakhs

  • 11th and 12th place - INR 4 Lakhs

  • 13th to 16th place - INR 2.5 Lakhs

  • BGIS 2024 MVP - INR 2.5 Lakhs’

  • Most Finishes - INR 1 Lakh

  • Lone Survivor - INR 1 Lakh

  • Rampage - INR 1 Lakh

Points System

The BGIS 2024 event will be allocating points to the teams on the basis of the Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile Esports points system. The team securing the chicken dinner will now receive 10 points instead of 15 and the amount of points will keep decreasing for lower placed teams.

Points system for the BGIS 2024 event:

  • 1st place: 10 points.

  • 2nd place: 6 points. 

  • 3rd place: 5 points.

  • 4th place: 4 points.

  • 5th place: 3 points.

  • 6th place: 2 points.

  • 7th place: 1 point.

  • 8th place: 1 point. 

  • 9th - 16th place: 0 points.

  • 1 Finish: 1 point.

Registration

Players who want to play the BGIS 2024 event will have to register their teams on the official Krafton India Esports website. You will have to carefully read and submit the details or else your team may get disqualified from the tournament.

Many well known organizations like iQOO Soul, Godlike Esports, Gods Reign and more have made significant roster changes. One of the most consistent teams in the 2023 BGMI season was Gladiators Esports. It has ended all its operations and its BGMI team will now be competing from Gods Reign under the leadership of Ammar “Destro” Khan.
