BGIS 2023 Round 3 Day 1 Group 2: Overall Standings, Match Summary, and More
Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 has been a tournament of ups and downs for several teams. Underdog teams have put forth a great fight against seasoned teams like Team Godlike and Gods Reign.
Group 2 finished their first three matches of the six on Day 1 of the BGIS Round 3 and will play their remaining three games on 15th September. Gods Reign delivered an outstanding performance, taking the first place with 83 points. Two of the three matches played were won by the star squad. It played aggressively throughout the day and ended up with a whopping 41 finish points.
BGIS Group 2 Day 1 match summary
Match 1 Erangel: Team Godlike took the chicken dinner in the first match of the day. It was able to get 26 total points with 11 finish points. Team Godlike was able to secure the chicken dinner after an intense 4v4 fight with Gods Reign in the last circle. Jonathan “Jonathan” Amaral was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for them as he eliminated five players. Gods Reign also had a good match as it secured 22 total points. Trouble Makerz and 1M Officials each earned 16 and 14 points respectively.
Match 2 Miramar: In the second match, Gods Reign secured the chicken dinner with 28 points. Hamza “Blaze” Hyderabadwala and Harsh “Aquanox” Rao from their squad each took six and five finishes. Great Esports fought hard as well, earning 22 points. CS Esports used an aggressive strategy and secured 18 points, including 12 finish points. Team Executors and 1M Officials were also able to add 13 and 12 points to their names, respectively.
Match 3 Sanhok: Gods Reign maintained its dominance in the third match as well collecting 33 points. Three players from Gods Reign i.e. Blaze, Shubham “Ninja” Sahoo, and Aquanox took six finishes each. Team GodLike managed to score 16 points due to the efforts of Jonathan and Abhishek “Zgod” Choudhary. Marcos At Battle and 1M Officials received 13 and 12 points respectively.
Overall at the end of the three matches Gods Reign and Team Godlike were the dominant teams securing 83 and 42 points. Fans are expecting the seasoned teams to continue their momentum on Day 2 as well and grab a spot in Round 4.
