S8UL Esports, a prominent organization in the Indian gaming community, has recently taken steps to address a disturbing issue related to online harassment. The organization, known for its influence and diverse roster of content creators, found itself dealing with a troubling situation involving harassment of its players and content creators. This situation was brought to light by Lokesh "8Bit Goldy" Jain, co-founder of S8UL and 8bit Creatives.

The organization recently faced a series of incidents involving the unauthorized sharing of manipulated images of its female streamers, along with abusive behavior directed at content creators and players. These incidents were traced to various Instagram accounts.

In a recent live stream Goldy shared details of the case indicating, “I had filed a case against an instagram page who was sharing morphed images of the creators and abusing the players. The police have caught the owner of the page and he is now arrested and locked in Santacruz police station and even his bail has been rejected. The owner of the page is 24 yr. old engineer. There are many such page owners and one of them is underage and a juvenile case is being done on him”.

When asked about the reasons for pursuing the case, Goldy explained, “Image morphing, mental abuse, Abusing players and creators, sexual harassment, stalking, etc”.

Earlier in June, S8UL content creator Payal Dhare aka Payal Gaming had shared that she was facing abusive comments and messages that include murder and rape threats. Since many of the accounts that made these threats had “gdxl” (commonly used to refer to GodLike) in their handles, Goldy then reached out to GodLike Esports coach Abhijeet “Ghatak” Andhare, who confirmed that the accounts in question were created with the intention of spreading toxicity, emphasizing that they were not genuine fans.

Ghatak said on Instagram, “I see lots of Instagram handles using GodLike’s name and spreading hate to other players and organizations. Using our name and spreading hate doesn’t make you a fan. You are simply a toxic kid hiding behind social media”

Tanmay “Scout” Singh also took action against one of the accounts spreading hate. He revealed in a recent livestream that he has filed a police complaint against the account. He also revealed that the account allegedly morphs images of female content creators and shares them online.
