Apple's App Store took to Twitter to announce the results of the 2022 awards.
Apex Legends Mobile was developed by Respawn Entertainment in collaboration with Lightspeed Studios.

The results of the Apple App Store Awards are in and Apex Legends Mobile has won the iPhone Game of the Year award. The official Twitter account for the App Store announced the winners of its awards. Apple congratulated the developers on the win.

Respawn Entertainment replied to Apple thanking them for the award saying it was "truly such an honor." Regarding the mobile game, Apple said on its official website, “This thoughtfully reengineered groundbreaking battle royale is its best version to date.” 

Previous winners of iPhone, iPad, and Mac Game of the Year include Genshin Impact, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, MARVEL Future Revolution, and Disco Elysium. 

Apex Mobile was released in May 2022 for Android and iOS. The game was developed by Respawn Entertainment in collaboration with Lightspeed Studios and features cross-play across both mobile platforms. The mobile game shares many core features with its PC counterpart including the roster of Legends, maps, and weapons. While the game also includes mobile-exclusive legends like Fade and Rhapsody, the existing legends brought over from the PC game come with grindable legend perks that enhance their abilities.

Apex Legends Mobile Season 3 adds Revenant

Apex Legends Mobile's third season is at its halfway point and the developer has decided to add another familiar face to the roster of Legends. Revenant is coming to the game along with a new LTM (Limited-time Mode) called Airdrop Escalation in the Underworld update which went live on 29th November at 5:00 PM PST (6:30 AM SGT). As with previous legends, Revenant comes with a set of legend perks that reloads his weapons when climbing, slows silenced enemies, and restores health when enemies are knocked while using Death Totem.

Apex Legends Mobile Season 3.5 Underworld is currently live on servers. Ranks reset is in effect with the next split starting today.
