Bigetron Alpha and RRQ Hoshi dominated the MPL ID Season 7, Week 1 - Day 1. The two teams will proceed to the upper bracket while the other two teams will go to the lower bracket and fight their way up. On the first day, we saw the intense battle between Genflix Aerowolf against Bigettron Alpha and Geek Fam against the defending champion, RRQ Hoshi. As expected, the tournament showed intense and action-packed matches which left audiences at the edge of their seats. The teams fought valiantly but there can only be two victors for the day. Here is a short summary of the first day of MPL ID Season 7.
Genflix Aerowolf vs Bigetron Alpha
Aerowolf barely bagged the first match with a score of 26-26 against Bigetron thanks to their last-minute Lord secure which allowed them to end the game.
However, Bigetron is merely warming up as they went on the second game and demolished Aerowolf in every team fight. Bigetron, with Lord on their side, went straight into the mid lane and bagged their first win in the game.
In the final match, Aerowolf took control of the early game. However, after the 11-minute mark, Bigetron made a massive comeback and managed to steal the Lord which gave them the edge they needed to take down Aerowolf once and for all.
Geek Fam vs RRQ Hoshi
RRQ Hoshi asserted dominance in the first game with R7’s impressive sidelane control. At the 16-minute mark, Geek Fam made the mistake of allowing RRQ to secure the Lord which allowed RRQ to snowball very hard.
However, Geek Fam made their counter-attack in the second match, aggressively taking every resource available and conquering the whole map. RRQ couldn’t keep up and ended with a mediocre score of 2-14 against Geek Fam.
In the final match, RRQ did not take any chances and picked Benedetta to dominate the sidelane. RRQ’s impressive chemistry led Geek Fam to a trap and unable to recover. With the Lord in their hands, RRQ ended the game in fourteen minutes. Geek Fam tried their hardest but the defending champions took the bag in the end.
