On 4th September 2020, Akshay Kumar announced FAU-G: Fearless And United-Guards in a bid to support PM Narendra Modi’s Atma Nirbhar movement. 20% of the net revenue generated will be donated to #BharatKeVeer Trust. The 52-year-old actor also noted that besides entertainment, the players "will also learn about the sacrifices of our soldiers". The game was set to launch in November 2020 but even as new year’s day has passed there has been no official launch or announcement.

However, FAU-G opened up its pre-registrations on Google Play Store on 30th November. Within 24 hours around 1.06 million people pre-registered for the game.

There are several claims across different news sites about the launch date for FAU-G being before March 2021 etc. However, there has been no new announcement from FAU-G or nCore games. There are also no APK or OBB links available for the game. Downloading FAU-G APK or OBB files from unknown sources may cause harm to your phone and compromise your data security.

The game’s description reads, ‘Join a special unit of FAU-G commandos on patrol in dangerous border territory. Come face-to-face with India’s enemies as you engage with hostile invaders on Indian soil. Fight for survival against the unforgiving terrain and the implacable enemy. Fill the shoes of a patriotic soldier and experience the bravery, brotherhood, and sacrifice of the men guarding the country’s borders.’ At launch, FAU:G will have a Galwan Valley level, which will offer single-player as well as a multiplayer co-op.

Will FAU-G Have Battle Royale?

When asked whether FAU-G is a third-person action title or will it have battle royale mode Vishal Gondal, Founder and Chairman at Ncore Games, told The Mako Reactor in a September 2020 interview, “So, the simple answer is that the game will have both modes.” Meaning, the battle royale mode will not be available at launch but will be added later through an update. “Much like other games, we will first launch and update, we will see the feedback, we will see how the monetisation is working, how the customers are reacting. Live ops are not about launching and deciding to launch all the 500 features on one day. There will be something launched on day one. If you ask me, what will the game be like in six to 12 months after launch? It will certainly be both modes,” Vishal told The Mako Reactor.

“It’s a brawler right now for Galwan Valley,” says Ganesh Hande, Co-Founder and COO at Ncore Games. “We want to be true to the subject so that is what we are trying. To start with we’re going with third-person because with that we can give a really immersive experience, first-person doesn’t really work with brawler gameplay.”
