Jio games has just announced a collaboration with Supercell, to host a 27-day Clash Royale tournament featuring a prize pool of INR 2.5 Lakh ($3375~ USD). The tournament will take place online from November 28th to December 25th.
Players can register for the tournament for free at the tournament’s official website. Registration is open to Jio and non-Jio users
Stage 1 - Open Qualifiers: November 28th - December 19th
After registering for the tournament, Players will need to play the Clash Royale game regularly & post most 1v1 battle wins compared to other participants, in the in-game ‘1v1 career Battle’ mode.
At the end of Stage 1, a maximum of top 8K participants on the leader-board will qualify for Stage 2 - Group Tournaments.
Stage 2 - Tournament Round 1: 21st December
During stage 2 of the Tournament, the qualifiers from stage 1 will be segregated into groups and each of these groups will play in the ‘In-game Private Tournaments’ mode.
The results will be based on the final standings provided by in-game Private Tournament mode. Depending upon the number of participants, the top-performing participants will be selected to qualify for the next stage i.e. Stage 3 of the contest.
Stage 3 - Tournament Round 2: 23rd December
Similar to Stage 2, during this stage of the contest, qualifiers from stage 2 will be segregated into groups and each of these groups will play in-game private tournaments.
The Top 800 Participants from round 2 will qualify for final event.
Stage 4 - Tournament Finale: 25th December
The top 800 finalists from Stage 3 will compete in an in-game private tournament. The Top 110 players from the Finale will win a prize pool worth 2,20,000 INR.
In addition, the Top 20 players in each week of the Open Qualifier, will win INR 400.
The semi-finals and the finals of the Jio Games Clash Royal Contest will be streamed on JioTV.
This is the second esports tournament that is being hosted by Reliance Jio. Earlier last month, Reliance Jio announced its entry into Indian esports with the launch of a Free Fire tournament called JioMart Gameathon to celebrate the festive season of Diwali.
