PEL 2020, China’s official highest-level professional Chinese league of the "Peacekeeper Elite", the Chinese rebranded version of PUBG Mobile, is now hosting its third season. The game is organised by Tencent Games and the PUBG Corporation. The total prize pool of the tournament is 21,000,000 CNY (Approximately $3,100,000). The winner will walk away with 2,000,000 CNY ($295,160).

PEL 2020 Season 3 Format

The regular season will begin on September 25th and continue till October 18th 2020. A total of 20 teams will compete for 4 weeks playing 3 days a week. The top 15 teams will qualify for the PEL 2020 Finals. The Finals will be a series of 20 matches that will happen from October 22nd to 25th 2020. 

The Opening Week will feature 15 Finalist Teams from PEL 2020 Season 2. On Day 1, the teams will play 5 matches and the top 5 teams will qualify for the Weekly Final which happens on Day 3. 

The bottom 10 teams will be relegated to Elimination Day (Day 2). On Day 2, the 10 teams from Day 1 and 5 other teams from PEL 2020 Season 2 will play 5 matches. The top 10 from these 15 teams will qualify for the Weekly FInal (Day 3). The bottom 5 will be eliminated for that week. 

On Day 3 which is the Weekly Final, each team will play 5 matches and only points earned here will be counted towards the team’s Weekly Ranking. This cycle will repeat for the later weeks except that in Weeks 2, 3 and 4, the 15 teams from Day 3 of the previous week will play 5 matches.

During PEL 2020 Season 2, Nova Esports had walked away with the championship and a prize of CYN 1,000,000 ($144,435) and 3 Chicken Dinners in the Finals.  Royal Never Give Up were the runners up, followed by Four Angry Men and Six Two Eight. Paraboy from Nova Esports was the MVP of the tournament and also the scoring leader.
