Team Queso and Unique Team qualify for PMCO Fall Championship after topping South America and Europe qualifiers
Having represented their regions in the PMCO Spring Championship, both Team Queso and Unique will return to the Fall finale, after topping their respective regional qualifiers. During the Spring Championship, Team Queso made it to the main event after battling it out in the Prelims while Unique started off directly. This means that Unique are undoubtedly the top team in Europe right now, having won the regional qualifier twice in a row.
Unique dominate Europe as things come down to the wire
CIS’s Unique Team smashed their way through the European Regional finals, picking up a whopping 171 points, the highest for any team in the regional qualifiers this season. With 70 kills in 10 maps and a whopping 101 placement points courtesy of 3 chicken dinners and six top 5 finishes, Unique have shown that they are the team to beat in the European region. Performances from Kitsune and Yasha, both of whom had 20 or more kills in the regional finals allowed them to finish well over 25 points ahead of their nearest competitor.
However, the competition was much closer down the order as third placed Team Futbolist were tied on points with 4th placed Dream Eaters after 10 maps, only making to the Prelims thanks to a higher kill score. The Turkish side were the champions at the ESL Vodafone 5G Mobile Open and will now be able to match against some of the top teams in the world at the Fall Championship Prelims. Second place went to another team from CIS, Asterion Myth, who will also be competing in the Prelims.

Team Queso to represent South America
After failing to take top spot against Brazilian Killers last season, Team Queso went all the way and secured a 1st place finish to ensure a guaranteed start at the Fall Championship. Unlike last year, they won’t have to play in the Prelims, which will now have Brazilian side, Red Canids instead. While Queso were head and shoulders above the rest in the South America quals, finishing with a massive 32 point gap, the competition was closer lower down. Second placed, Red Canids finished just 2 points above Influence Rage to steal the Prelims spot.
TQ’s Marco finished the competition with 27 kills, establishing himself as the player with the highest frags in a regional qualifier final.
