Sohail “Hector” Shaikh has become a household name in the world of esports. Born and raised in India, Hector gained widespread recognition for his exceptional skills in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) as a member of Team SouL. His incredible talent and unwavering dedication to the game have earned him a spot among the top BGMI players in the country, with a string of victories and accolades to his name.

But that’s not all - Hector’s talents extend far beyond BGMI. He has also made a name for himself in New State Mobile, another popular mobile esports game. His success in both games has made him a force to be reckoned with in the gaming world. Additionally, Hector is an influential figure on social media, with a massive following across various platforms.

Hector was born in 2002 in India. However, he is a private person and has not shared much information about his personal life. He started his esports career as a player in PUBG Mobile, which later transitioned to BGMI due to the ban of the former title. Sohail made a name for himself in the BGMI community through his exceptional gameplay.

S8UL Hector: Esports Career

Hector started his professional PUBG Mobile journey with Element Esports in March 2021 and then switched to Team PF, Team Inside Out, and Team Faceless, respectively. Although he failed to put forth an outstanding performance, he secured an 11th rank finish in the LOCO Diwali Battle: Grand Finals with Team Faceless. Following this, Enigma Gaming signed him in December 2021. Hector played the Skyesports Mobile Open with his new team and secured an 8th place finish. He was eventually signed by Team SouL in March 2022, one of the most prestigious esports organizations in India, which skyrocketed his popularity across the country.

Hector has been an integral part of Team SouL since his arrival in the organization. He played a crucial role in the team’s victory at the Pro Warrior Cup S2: Conquest Round, where he was the Most Valuable Player - Week 1 Award and the prestigious Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series - Season 1 (BMPS S1).

Hector also participated in the Battlegrounds Mobile Master Series (BGMS) with Team SouL, where he finished in the 6th position. Notably, Hector won three accolades in BGMS, namely Week 1 - Saviour, Week 2 - Doctor, and Finals - Saviour.

The victory in BMPS S1 granted the team a direct slot in the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022, where the team finished in 11th position. Notably, Hector was the only Indian player in PMWI 2022 to win an award - Eagle Eye.

Hector later moved to New State Mobile after BGMI remained suspended in the country and joined TeamXSpark for the Snapdragon Pro Series New State Mobile Open India as the in-game leader (IGL). He showed a decent performance in the tournament and finished in the 16th position.

After the conclusion of the Snapdragon Pro Series New State Mobile Open India, Hector announced that he was in the process of making a new team with Team SouL’s Akshat “AkshaT” Goel, former Nigma Galaxy professional player Harshit “MJ” Mahajan, and Team XO’s professional player Deepak “SENSEI” Negi. This newly formed team participated in the Esports Wala ELITE SCRIMS tournament, in which Hector displayed his exceptional skills and helped the team secure second place in the competition. As a result of his remarkable performance, Hector was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) title, having achieved an impressive 52 finishes in just 25 matches.
