She gets referenced a lot in the game. One of which is the Light Cone Geniuses' Repose where she is seen pouring drinks with her colleagues. The Light Cone also revealed that she is skilled in making desserts.

Herta describes Ruan Mei in Honkai Star Rail as a “master of creation” as she mainly worked on the designs of Aeons in the Simulated Universe. She was also in charge of providing more information about Lan, the Aeon of The Hunt.

Ruan Mei also appears as a rare event in the Simulated Universe where she offers you two options- Worship Aeons or Want Lots of Money. • Skill: Increase damage dealt by the entire team.

• Ultimate: Desploys a barrier where the whole team’s attack is increased and when an enemy’s shield is broken, a mark is attached to them. Enemies with a mark have their weakened state durations increased.

• Talent: Increase damage dealt by the entire team to enemies in a weakened state.

• Technique: Deploy a barrier that prevents enemy hostility within its range. When combat is engaged within the barrier, the entire team’s break effect is increased for several rounds.
