Apex Legends Mobile is launching today and with the arrival of the mobile battle royale, players will also get access to the game’s first mobile-exclusive legend. Fade, whose real name is Ignacio Huamani is from Solace and he looks like a short-tempered version of Wraith. Apex Legends Mobile will continue the story of the Syndicate trying to seize control and both versions of the game will have exclusive lore to move the narrative forward. Here is everything you need to know about Fade in Apex Legends Mobile.
Who is Fade in Apex Legends Mobile?
Ignacio Huamaní was the youngest in a family of military-tech hunters. Working together, they made a living “recovering” weaponry and selling it to the highest bidder. When he was young, he took up a contract with a mysterious client and acquired the suit for him.
The suit turned out to be a trap. His family died, and the suit propelled him into another dimension. He made his way back to the Outlands to find justice and redemption in the Apex Games.
Fade’s abilities in Apex Legends Mobile
Slipstream (Passive): Fade gains a movement speed boost after completing a slide.
Flashback (Tactical): Fade teleports to a previous location. The ability works similarly to Tracer’s Recall in Overwatch.
Phase Chamber (Ultimate): Fade drops down the activator core in his suit to make everyone in the radius incapable of dealing or receiving damage. It is reminiscent of Wraith’s tactical ability but it works for all players within the ability’s radius.
Will Fade come to Apex Legends PC and console?
Currently, there are no plans for Fade to be brought to Apex Legends on PC and console. He is being marketed as a mobile-exclusive legend for the time being but he may be a timed-exclusive legend and may find his way to other platforms in the future. It is also unknown if characters with high mobility, like Horizon and Valkyrie, who are present on other platforms will make it to the mobile version of the game.
Fade will be available in Apex Legends Mobile starting 17th May 2022.
