The League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 4.0 is one of the most highly anticipated updates in the game for 2023. The update contains a ton of exciting new additions to the game including Chinese New Year special skins to welcome the festivities. Two new champions have also been revealed through the Wild Rift Patch 4.0 preview which fans can look forward to playing soon. The upcoming patch update shall also welcome a new ranked season featuring another exclusive skin and cosmetics for players to unlock as they climb the competitive ladder and prove their skills on the leaderboards.

When is Wild Rift Patch 4.0 releasing?

The Wild Rift Patch 4.0 is set to release on 12th January (UTC). This was revealed in a recent post from the game’s official Twitter handle.

As revealed by Riot Games in the most recent patch preview, the major update will be released just in time for the Chinese New Year to kick off. Events and skins themed around the occasion shall also be released alongside new champions.

What to expect in the Wild Rift Patch 4.0 update?

There is  a lot of exciting new content teased by Riot Games for the upcoming major patch update. This includes two new Wild Rift champions - Zoe and Zeri, the return of the All Random Ultra Rapid Fire (ARURF) game mode, Ranked Season 8 skin, Wild Pass Season 11 rewards, and much  more.

Players can also expect to see a Lunar New Year event that promises generous rewards for those who participate in the upcoming event. Riot Games is yet to reveal the full details of the upcoming event so fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the future.
