One of the recently leaked champions in League of Legends: Wild Rift is Nidalee. She is classified as an Assasin champion who can transform and change her abilities. Nidalee is also a fan favorite due to her high mobility and damage potential, allowing her to hunt down unsuspecting opponents or flee from a potential ambush with ease.
Since Nidalee is already an existing champion in League of Legends (LoL) PC, Riot Games may implement the same ability kit for the mobile version. However, a few changes may be made to make her playable in Wild Rift and provide players with a smoother experience.
Wild Rift Nidalee Release Date
Riot Games is yet to announce the release date of Nidalee in Wild Rift. Data Miners speculate that she may be one of the upcoming champions to be released in 2024, alongside Quinn and Rumble.
Nidalee is one of the oldest champions released on LoL PC. The champion has received a lot of visual and gameplay changes since her release in the game. However, she has always been a popular pick among players due to her alluring character design and interesting ability kit.
Wild Rift Nidalee Ability
For players who are curious, here is a quick rundown of the abilities of Nidalee in League of Legends which may also be implemented in Wild Rift. Keep in mind that her abilities change if she’s in human or cougar form.
Passive: Prowl
Moving through brush increases Nidalee's Move Speed by 10% for 2 seconds, increased to 30% toward visible enemy champions within 1,400 range. Hitting champions or monsters with Javelin Toss or Bushwhack triggers a Hunt, granting True Sight of them for 4 seconds. During this time, Nidalee gains 10% Move Speed (increased to 30% toward the Hunted target) and her Takedown and Pounce are enhanced against them.
Skill 1: Javelin Toss / Takedown
In human form, Nidalee throws a spiked javelin at her target that gains damage as it flies. As a cougar, her next attack will attempt to fatally wound her target, dealing more damage the less life they have.
Skill 2: Bushwack / Pounce
In human form, Nidalee lays a trap for unwary opponents that, when sprung, damages and reveals its target. As a cougar, she jumps in a direction, dealing damage in an area where she lands.
Skill 3: Primal Surge / Swipe
In human form, Nidalee channels the spirit of the cougar to heal her allies and imbue them with Attack Speed for a short duration. As a cougar, she claws in a direction, dealing damage to enemies in front of her.
Ultimate: Aspect Of The Cougar
Nidalee transforms into a cougar, gaining new abilities.
Players should keep in mind that some abilities may be adjusted or reworked to fit the mobile platform once Nidalee gets released in Wild Rift. This means some of her abilities may be changed similar to the changes made to Vayne and Lux.
It will be interesting to see how Riot Games implements Nidalee’s playstyle in Wild Rift once she gets added to the game.
