Here are some tips and tricks you need to keep in mind before you start your Road to Valor: Empires journey.

South Korean video game developer Krafton recently launched its new player vs player (PvP) strategy game called Road to Valor: Empires. This mobile game challenges players to take on quests, build armies, and fight against foes on the battlefield as they command mythical troops and legendary guardians. While Road to Valor: Empires looks like a handful and might seem daunting, it is extremely interesting and intuitive. Here are some tips and tricks that every player needs to know to learn the game and win every battle.

How to Win Games in Road to Valor: Empires?

Even if you are new to Road to Valor: Empires, with the right strategy, you can jump right in and win games in the blink of an eye. Here’s all you need to know as a beginner to the game:

Choose the right Guardians

Road to Valor: Empires has 12 different Guardians but as a beginner, you can choose from the following three:

  • Caesar (Roman)

  • Cyrus (Persian)

  • Beowulf (Norman)

Note that every Guardian possesses different active and passive skills. Players should also know that they can have more than just one deck. When you head over to the Battle tab on the game, you will notice that there are five different deck options. Just underneath your gold and gems, you will see numbers 1-5, and on the side a big portrait of your Guardian. You can select another Guardian for another deck and you can run unique setups using your Battle Units.

Know your troops

Along with the Guardian, players can choose eight units ranging from cavalry, spearmen, and infantry to form their army. All the units have different battle styles; some of them are ranged, some melee, and some of the units are defensive ones with shields. You will be able to check out all crucial information including the stats before you choose your deck. Make sure to check and understand the following statistics before you make your selection:

  • Attack Damage

  • Hit Points (HP)

  • Attack type

  • Movement speed

  • Time to deploy

Players should keep in mind that it is beneficial to have a good balance of defense and attack in the deck. Note that cavalry trumps most infantry units except spearmen, shield units are strong against ranged attacks, and ranged attacks are powerful against melee attacks with low defense. These are important dynamics that will help you rally together a strong army.

Upgrades

Know that you cannot be running the same units without upgrading them. The level of difficulty in Road to Valor: Empires increases as you climb up the ranks. So make sure to upgrade your units and Guardians regularly so that their stats are improved and so that they can take on stronger opponents. After every win, you get gold coins. Spend these coins judiciously to upgrade existing units and unlock new ones. Make sure to check the shop section of the game to win free chests and other rewards every day. Also, know that you can equip and dismantle battle equipment on your units by going to the Armory. These additions improve the base stats of your units.

Strategizing

Coming up with good strategies and understanding what works best is the way to become a top player in Road To Valor: Empires. For this, you need to not only build the right army with a strong defense, attack, and tactics, but also try out different combinations of factions, Guardians, and battle units. When you keep mixing and matching you will eventually find what works for you and then, you will have your own unique winning formula. This is where the different customizable decks come in handy. Whenever you see an enemy with an interesting deck that you lost, come back and try to imitate it.
