Since its launch Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has been one of the most popular mobile games in India with its features and graphics being second to none. The controls of the game are easy to master for beginners, serving as one of the reasons for its popularity. Krafton has always put in efforts to introduce new features and weapons to keep the game interesting.
Assault Rifles (AR) are one of the most important weapons in BGMI. To master these weapons one must have all the information about them. AR’s are of different types. Some of them are used in close range while others are used in mid to long range.
Ranking Assault Rifles in BGMI from best to worst
It is important to have information about all the AR’s in BGMI if players want to make full use of their ability. There are many AR’s in BGMI, some are easy to master and some of them are only used by highly skilled players.
Here is the detailed information of all the AR’s in BGMI:
M416
Type of ammunition: It uses 5.56 mm bullets
Base damage: 43
Bullet velocity: 780 m/s
Availability: available on the all maps
The M416 is the most commonly used AR in BGMI. It does not offer the highest damage in the game but can be easily mastered by everyone. The recoil can be managed by using a few attachments. 3x and 4x scopes are mostly preferred by players for mid to long range accuracy. The M416’s ability to engage at close, mid and long ranges makes it one of the best weapons in BGMI.
Groza
Type of ammunition: It uses 7.62mm bullets
Base damage: 49
Bullet velocity: 715 m/s
Availability: available on all the maps (Airdrop exclusive)
The Groza is the most powerful weapon out of all the Assault Rifles in BGMI. It can only be found in airdrops and that alone speaks volumes of its capability. It is used in close range combat most of the time. Using it can give you a psychological advantage over enemies.
AKM
Type of ammunition: It uses 7.62mm bullets
Base damage: 49
Bullet velocity: 715 m/s
Availability: available on the all maps
The AKM has been the preferred AR in close range combat since the launch of BGMI. It boasts one of the highest damage values in the game. The AKM also possesses high recoil and as a result it becomes difficult to master the weapon, leaving it to be preferred by highly skilled players.
Beryl M762
Type of ammunition: It uses 7.62mm bullets
Base damage: 47
Bullet velocity: 740 m/s
Availability: available on all the maps
The Beryl and AKM are similar kinds of AR’s, but the Beryl has a better fire rate than the AKM. The unpredictable recoil pattern makes it difficult to master this weapon but players can use attachments to reduce its recoil. Despite having a better fire rate this weapon sits below the AKM since the AKM’s recoil is mangable.
AUG A3
Type of ammunition: It uses 5.56mm bullets
Base damage: 44
Bullet velocity: 940 m/s
Availability: available on all the maps (Airdrop exclusive)
The AUG A3 is also an Airdrop exclusive weapon. It also has the lowest recoil amongst all the other AR’s. The most preferred scopes for this weapon are 3x, 4x and 6x. It is the best weapon for beginners as it is easy to master because of its lower recoil.
G36C
Type of ammunition: It uses 5.56mm bullets
Base damage: 41
Bullet velocity: 870 m/s
Availability: Only found in Vikendi
There are a lot of similarities between the G36C and the AUG A3, one of them being lower recoil. It is used to engage in mid to long range battles but falls short in close range engagements. Its availability being only in Vikendi puts this weapon further down the list.
Scar L
Type of ammunition: It uses 5.56mm bullets
Base damage: 41
Bullet velocity: 870 m/s
Availability: available on most of the maps
The Scar L and the M416 have similarities between them. The Scar L is a good replacement for the M416 but the unavailability of the stock attachment makes it unstable. Players should preferably use the M416 as and when they can.
QBZ
Type of ammunition: It uses 5.56mm bullets
Base damage: 41
Bullet velocity: 870 m/s
Availability: available in Sanhok
The QBZ is only available in Sanhok and it replaces the Scar L in this map. It shares a similar performance with the Scar L due to its manageable recoil and good fire rate. Ideally players should preferably go for the M416 over the QBZ.
Famas
Type of ammunition: It uses 5.56mm bullets
Base damage: 39
Fire Rate: 900 RPM
Availability: only available in Erangel and Livik
The Famas has a decent fire rate and can be used at close range. Players tend to be uncertain about this weapon and always prefer the AKM for close range. Since the Famas is only available on two maps it is ranked lower on the list.
Honey Badger
Type of ammunition: It uses 7.62mm bullets
Base damage: 43
Availability: only available in Livik
The Honey Badger is the newly introduced 7.62 weapon. Despite being a 7.62 weapon it deals the same damage as the M416 and players are better off using the M416. It has a higher recoil than the Beryl M762 and since its damage is similar to the M416 the Honey Badger becomes one of the worst weapons in BGMI.
M16A4
Type of ammunition: It uses 5.56mm bullets
Base damage: 43
Bullet velocity: 900 m/s
Availability: available on all maps
The M16A4 is a burst AR in BGMI. This weapon should be ranked higher in the list as top tier professional players use it. But since it is difficult to master it places lower on the list. It is a high skill weapon and one of the biggest downsides of this weapon is that it cannot be used in a fully automatic configuration which puts the M16A4 lower on the list.
MK47 Mutant
Type of ammunition: It uses 7.62mm bullets
Base damage: 49
Bullet velocity: 780 m/s
Availability: available on all the maps
The MK47 Mutant is the worst AR in BGMI. It is a semi-automatic 7.62 AR that has high recoil making it one of the least used weapons in the game. It is picked up by players as the last resort.
Players will have to experiment with all these weapons and find the best one for themselves. Even though some of the AR’s are easy to master, players will have to practice with each and every weapon to use them to their fullest potential.
