The M3 World Championship group stage team distributions have been finalized. The top 16 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams from around the world will compete in the prestigious esports event for the lion’s share of the $800,000 USD prize pool and the title of world champions. The upcoming M3 World Championship will kick off on 6th Dec 2021 starting with the group stage where the teams will be divided into four groups with four teams each. The team distributions for the group stage were decided through a lottery that was broadcasted live on 6th November through the official social media handles of Mobile Legends.

Tournament Schedule and Format
Group Stage (December 6 - 9)
16 teams will be split into four groups with four teams each.
Single round-robin format.
No team gets eliminated but the final rankings will determine the teams’ seeding for the playoffs.
Playoffs (December 11 - 18)
Double-elimination bracket
The top two teams from each group will be seeded in the upper bracket.
The bottom two teams from each group will be placed in the lower bracket.
Upper bracket matches will be settled in a Bo5 series while the lower bracket will be in a Bo3 series until the third round which will be settled in a Bo5 format.
Winners from the upper and lower bracket will meet in the grand finals.
Grand Finals (December 19)
The two finalists will settle on who will claim the title of world champion.
Matches will be played in a Bo5 series.

Where to watch
Fans can tune in to the M3 World Championship through the official YouTube Channel of Mobile Legends. The broadcast will feature multiple languages to cater to various regions.
Fans can also tune in to the esports event through the Mobile Legends app by heading to the Esports tab in the main menu.
Last year, the Philippines team Bren Esports took the crown of champions after taking down the Burmese team, Burmese Ghouls, through a major comeback resulting in a 2-3 final match score, in favor of the PH team.
The M3 World Championship will be an offline event and will be held in Singapore. Similar to last year’s world championship, Moonton is working with local authorities and the Singapore Tourism Board to ensure that the competition happens safely with all COVID-19 preventive measures in place.
It will be interesting to see who will take the championship title for the upcoming M3 World Championship, considering that there will be more regions participating in the event.
