Mobile Legends: Bang Bang revealed that the prize pool for the upcoming M3 World Championship has been increased to $800,000 USD. Compared to last year’s $300,000 USD prize pool, Mobile Legends’ global tournament has definitely grown substantially. The M3 World Championship’s official schedule is yet to be revealed. However, various qualifier tournaments have been announced by Moonton outside the Southeast Asian (SEA) region. This means that the upcoming M3 World Championship will have much more diverse participants compared to the previous iteration, the M2 World Championship, which was composed of mostly SEA teams alongside a Brazilian and a Russian team.

M3 World Championship will be grander than the previous iterations

Moonton has given fans a sneak peek at the upcoming M3 World Championship which is expected to kick off in December 2021. This international esports event is one of the biggest events that Moonton will be hosting and will feature the top-tier Mobile Legends teams from various regions.

The crowned champions from each MPL region will earn a slot in the upcoming international event. Other regions will have their own regional qualifiers and will be competing for a spot in the international event. Two of the said qualifiers are the M3 Arabia Major and the recently announced M3 World Championship North American Qualifier 2021.

The first international championship for Mobile Legends, the M1 World Championship, had a $250,000 USD prize pool. The second iteration of the event, the M2 World Championship, had a $300,000 USD prize pool. And now, Moonton has revealed that they are taking the M3 World Championship to the next level with a significantly increased prize pool of $800,000 USD. This is the biggest prize pool for any Mobile Legends esports event to date.

Indonesian team, EVOS Legends dominated the M1 World Championship, earning them the M1 champion skin, Harith “EVOS Legends.” Meanwhile, the Filipino team, Bren Esports took the crown for the M2 World Championship, earning the Lancelot “Bren Esports” skin. Both skins can be acquired in-game for the fans to purchase.

It will be interesting to see who will take the championship title for the upcoming M3 World Championship, considering that there will be more regions participating in the event.
