Assault Rifles: ARs in BGMI are among the most powerful weapons. They can come in different types and each weapon uses different kinds of ammunition. The 7.62mm ARs are usually used in close range battles whereas the 5.56mm ammunition weapons are used in mid and long range fights.

SubMachine Guns: SMGs in BGMI usually have a high fire rate and are considered the most dangerous weapons in close range fights. Every SMG in BGMI uses different kinds of ammunition. Designated Marksman Rifle: DMRs in BGMI are shot in single taps and can be used to secure finishes in mid to long range fights. Shotgun: Shotguns have existed in BGMI since the release of the game. But have recently become meta in pro play. DBS and S12K are some of the most dangerous shotguns in the game because of their magazine size and damage, allowing players to clutch out of any situation.

Light Machine Guns: LMGs in BGMI can be considered as a weapon which is hard to master. LMGs have high recoil compared to ARs and SMGs which makes them harder to use in certain situations. LMGs like DP-28 are used in mid to long range fights whereas MG3 and M249 are used in close range battles.

Pistol: BGMI also offers different kinds of Pistols. Their damage is what gives them a disadvantage compared to other weapons. Although players can try and use some of the pistols such as the Skorpion and P18C that also work in auto mode.

Throwables: Throwables in BGMI are of four types, Frag Grenade, Smoke Grenade, Stun Grenade and Molotov Cocktail. Throwables such as Frag Grenades and Molotov Cocktails are used to secure finishes or clear angles whereas Smoke Grenades are used to make cover to avoid enemy gunfire while out in the open. The Stun Grenade is a handy throwable but should only be used in certain situations.

Melee Weapons: There are four types of Melee weapons in BGMI, Machete, Crowbar, Sickle and Pan. The most effective among them is the Pan which deals higher damage compared to others. Melee weapons can also be thrown at enemies to knock them or secure finishes.
