COD: Mobile offers a lot of exciting game modes but it does not seem to have a direct 1v1 game mode. Veterans of the game would remember that there used to be a 1v1 mode added within the other multiplayer modes called Duel, where you would battle it out with other players in the Saloon map. Even Though the game mode has been removed, there is a simple workaround that lets you set up a 1v1 lobby in COD: Mobile again.
Setting up a 1v1 lobby in COD: mobile
The game allows you to create a private room where you can set up a 1v1 and invite your friends over to participate or even spectate.
Open COD: Mobile and tap on the Multiplayer icon
Hit the ‘≡’ icon on the top right corner
Tap on the ‘Private’ option and the game takes you to a custom room where you’re allowed to invite players either to join in or spectate.
Apart from all the usual choices you get like loadouts and maps, you also get to choose a kill limit and a time limit.
1v1 matches are indeed very fun to play but it also helps new players understand the basics of the game and can be very useful if you are trying to introduce another friend to COD: Mobile.
Apart from just setting up a 1v1, the private room option allows you to choose any map in the game. It also lets you play full on custom matches with a stacked team.
It is also important to note that these are custom matches and not established matches, so you can duke it out with your mates without having to worry about your rank or skill disparity. If you’d like to strengthen your loadout for these matches, you can check out the best sniper rifle in the game.
