The first thing you should do is check the game for any instances of corrupt game files. Here’s how you can repair your game files: 

1. Launch the game 

2. When you see the “Start Game” scream, click on the Update button 

3. The game will check for updates and then verify all your game files 

4. Once the verification process is complete, click on “Start Game” 

In most cases, the Login Error 1001_1 error occurs due to internet connectivity problems. You can try the following solutions if repairing the game files does not work. 

1. Press the Windows Key

2. Type “Command Prompt” and hover on the first app result 

3. Click on Run As Administrator

4. If asked whether to allow Command Prompt to make changes to your computer, select Yes.

5. You should now get a new window with a black screen.

6. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.

7. Type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press Enter.

8. Type "ipconfig /release" and press Enter.

9. Type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.

10. Type "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter.

11. Restart your computer.

Login to your router and head to the setup page. Leave all existing settings intact and change your primary and secondary DNS to any of the following:

• 1.1.1.1

• 1.0.0.1

• 8.8.8.8

• 4.2.2.2

There is also an app you can install by Cloudflare that can toggle OpenDNS on or off and it also functions as a free VPN. Head to https://one.one.one.one/ and download the app for Windows. Once installed, toggle it on and try playing Honkai Star Rail. You can also use any VPN of your choice to see if you can access the game.

If none of the above solutions work, try reinstalling the game to see if the issue is resolved. If Honkai Star Rail’s servers are down you do not need to check social media platforms or third-party websites. If the game is in maintenance and the servers are unavailable, you will get a notification when you launch the game and you can just wait out the maintenance period.
