Blessing of Elation in the Simulated Universe is your best bet if you want to capitalize on follow-up attacks.

If you jumped into Honkai Star Rail’s Simulated Universe, you may have noticed that the Blessings of Elation often offer Follow-Up Attack bonuses. Honkai Star Rail’s follow-up attacks can be very useful if you need that extra bit of damage to break shields, apply damage over time (DoT) effects or finish off low-health enemies. If you do not understand how the mechanic works, here’s a quick rundown of how to use follow-up attacks in Honkai Star Rail.

Which characters can use follow-up attacks in Honkai Star Rail

Himeko and Yanqing can use follow-up attacks but they need to meet certain conditions. Clara’s Counter mechanic and March 7th’s automatic follow-up attacks trigger when your shielded units are attacked and they are very consistent sources of damage. Jing Yuan, the featured banner character after Seele, is also reliant on his follow-up attack damage using the Lightning Lord.

How to use follow-up attacks in Honkai Star Rail’s Simulated Universe

If you have a lot of characters that deal follow-up attack damage or if you rely on Clara as your main damage dealer, you should use the Blessing of Elation in the Simulated Universe. There is a Blessing that makes Ultimates count as follow-up attacks and if you have enough damage buffs for the attacks, your Ultimates will hit exponentially harder.

Elation is not the easiest Path to use in the Simulated Universe and you may need to figure out the intricacies of your characters’ kits to fully take advantage of the damage they offer. We recommend using the Blessing of Elation as an opportunity to test the limits of your characters. Since you do not need to spend any Trailblaze Power to enter the Simulated Universe, you can try out various Blessing combos to find what works best for your team.
