Call of Duty (COD): Mobile Season 8 kicked off an event called “Counterattack.” The event is linked to the latest battle royale (BR) map in COD Mobile called Blackout. The new battle royale map is one of the largest maps in the game and will contain non-playable characters (NPC) that players can interact with. Recruiting these NPCs will provide players with missions that reward event points to unlock a slew of exciting in-game cosmetics and collectibles. There will also be a leaderboard for competitive players that rewards them with operator skins if they manage to stay within the top 10% on the leaderboard when the event officially ends.

How to play the Counterattack event in COD Mobile Season 8

The latest season of COD Mobile dropped on 23rd Sept 2021, bringing in a ton of new in-game content to celebrate the game’s 2nd Anniversary. One of the events is titled Counterattack and is tied to the Blackout BR map that debuted in COD Mobile Season 8.

Players can find the event under the Battle Pass tab in the main menu. The event requires players to play the new Blackout BR map and interact with NPCs that appear on the map. Players can recruit these NPCs which in return, provide them with missions that they can complete to earn points and unlock rewards.
