MPL MY is returning with season 8 and an amazing prize pool of $100,000 featuring 10 of the best team from Malaysia. The tournament will be held from the 2nd week of August till the last week of October. The 8 invited teams are RSG MY, Geek Fam, RED, Orange Esports, HomeBois, Suez Esports, Team SMG, and TODAK alongside the top 2 qualified teams EBLIZ, and Team Bosskurr. MPL MY Season 8 Format
Regular Season.
- Teams will be divided into 2 groups of 5.
- Round-robin matches BO3.
- The top 4 teams from both groups will advance to the finals.
Playoffs.
- The top 2 teams from both groups will be placed in the upper bracket.
- 3rd and 4th placed teams from groups will face each other in the lower bracket.
- All matches will be BO3 except the final which will be BO5.
- Double Elimination.
