Earlier last week, online skill gaming platform RummyTime announced a promotional partnership with income tax filing platform ClearTax. This unique association offers RummyTime players a novel incentive: all registered players who file their taxes through ClearTax, whether self-filed or Charted Accounted-assisted, will receive the amount paid to ClearTax as ‘Discount Credits’ in their RummyTime game wallet.

At first glance, the partnership between an online rummy platform and a tax e-filing service seemed utterly baffling. What common ground could these two seemingly disparate services share?
