Palworld is currently available on Xbox and PC and it might come to additional platforms.
The developers had considered a PlayStation port at some point but Pocket Pair inc. has made no mention of a Nintendo Switch port yet.

Palworld has become 2024's best-selling game so far and players are eager to try out the game on all platforms. Currently, the game is available only on Xbox and PC (Steam and Game Pass PC) and players want the game to arrive on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch as well. If you are waiting for Palworld's release on Nintendo Switch, here's what you need to know.

Palworld Nintendo Switch Edition: What We Know So Far

As of February 2024, there is no official confirmation that Palworld will come to the Nintendo Switch. The developer (Pocket Pair Inc.) hasn't mentioned a Switch release, and they've only mentioned considering PS5 later in development.

Palworld is an Unreal Engine 5 game, which might be demanding for the Switch hardware. Nintendo Switch is showing signs of aging and modern games are struggling to run at decent settings on the platform. The game also has some controversial elements that might not align with Nintendo's family-friendly image. Nintendo is currently investigating Palworld for potential copyright infringement and things might become uneasy between Pocket Pair Inc and Nintendo.

It's too early to say for sure whether Palworld will come to the Switch. While there are some technical hurdles and content considerations, it's not impossible. Keep an eye on the developer's announcements and any news about a potential Switch 2 for updates.

Unreal Engine 5 is technically compatible with the Switch but if the game gets a clearance from Nintendo and the developers manage to make the game work on Switch with playable settings, we might get to check out the game on Nintendo's handheld platform soon.

In the monster-catching arena, Pokémon and Palworld battle for your attention, but cater to vastly different tastes. Pokémon, the classic RPG, whisks you away on a lighthearted journey of collecting, training, and battling fantastical creatures in turn-based, strategic encounters. Friendship and adventure blossom across vibrant landscapes, making it perfect for all ages.

Palworld, on the other hand, throws you into an open-world sandbox. Survival reigns supreme as you build bases, craft gear, and interact with creatures in more nuanced ways. Action-based combat lets you wield weapons, even hunt if you choose.

While freedom and player agency reign, mature themes and darker elements make it unsuitable for younger audiences. So, choose your path: befriend and battle in Pokémon's whimsical world, or embrace the grittier survival and agency of Palworld.
