If you want to delete a world in Palworld and restart your progress, you can do so via the game's main menu. Our guide will help you delete your world in Palworld. Remember, deleting a world is final. If you have any doubts, it's best to create a backup of the world before proceeding. If you think you ever want to return to your game world, you can backup the world and return to it whenever you want.
How to Backup Your World in Palworld (PC Only)
Locate Save Files:
Windows:
Press Windows key + R, type %appdata%, and press Enter.
Navigate to Local -> PAL -> Saved -> SaveGames -> Players -> [Your Steam ID].
Copy the Folder:
Copy the entire folder containing your world save files.
Choose a safe location outside of the Palworld directory, such as your Documents folder or an external drive.
How to Delete Your Game World in Palworld
Here are the steps on how to delete a world in Palworld:
1. Access the World Select Menu:
Launch Palworld.
On the main menu, select "Singleplayer."
This will bring you to the World Select menu, where you'll see a list of your saved worlds.
2. Choose the World to Delete:
In the World Select menu, locate the world you want to delete.
Hover over it with your in-game cursor.
Open the Delete Option:
Look for the "Delete World" option. It's usually located in the bottom left corner of the world's information panel. Click on it.
Confirm the Deletion:
A confirmation pop-up will appear, warning you that this action is permanent and cannot be undone.
To proceed, you'll need to type "DELETE" (in all caps) into the text box provided.
Once you've typed it correctly, the "Confirm" button will become active.
Click "Confirm" to permanently delete the world.
