Who Is Xueyi in Honkai: Star Rail?

The ‘Interstellar Journey’ trailer released by Honkai: Star Rail in April revealed a few details of upcoming characters including Xueyi. Since then fans have been wondering when they’ll see Xueyi come to Honkai: Star Rail. While she will likely not be available within the next few banner event releases, she is expected to release within this year. Quite a few details have been leaked about the new four-star character. However, content in leaks is subject to change, so there may be some changes when Xueyi releases. Here is all we know about Xueyi in Honkai: Star Rail. 

Who is Xueyi in Honkai: Star Rail?

Xueyi is set to be a four-star character who uses ice powers and wields a spear with a red and blue glow. She can be spotted twice in the Interstellar Journey launch trailer for Honkai.

Xueyi is a judge for the Ten-Lords Commission and is currently one of the NPCs (Non Player Character) found on the Xianzhou Luofu. She is allied with the Xianzhou Alliance and appears in a number of cutscenes. 

As a judge she oversees sending the souls of the mara-struck and those near death to the Hall of Karma located at the bottom of Xianzhou where the souls of the dead are kept. She is also responsible for the detention, incarceration, interrogation, and punishment of criminals.

Xueyi is voiced by Japanese-American Voice Actor Jenny Yokobori. Yokobori has also voiced Yoimiya in Genshin Impact, Evie in Fortnite and Wanda in One Piece. On 19th May, Yokobori tweeted out about her voicing Xueyi in the game and thanked the Voice Director Philip Bache and the developers for their support.

Even though her splash art was released in the beta, there will likely be a few updates till we see Xueyi released in the game. Honkai Star Rail Version 1.1 banner characters will likely be the five-star Loucha, Silver Wolf and the four-star YuKong. However, YuKong’s release is still unconfirmed. Upon release, she will be the second playable puppet character after Herta in the roster.

Skill

Xueyi deals Quantum DMG to a specific enemy equal to % of her ATK, nearby enemies take Quantum DMG equal to % of her ATK.

Ultimate

Xueyi deals Quantum DMG equal to % of her attack to a specific enemy, which ignores a portion of DEF and applies DEF Reduction. Each layer of “Vendetta” obtained during this attack increases the damage dealt by %, up to a maximum increase of %.

Talent

When Xueyi deals damage to an enemy, she gains up to 6 stacks of “Vendetta.” When she gains full stacks, Xueyi immediately launches an additional attack, dealing three instances of Quantum DMG to a random enemy equal to % of her attack. If the target’s weakness is Quantum, the damage dealt by this attack is increased by %.
