How to Get Guaranteed Ruan Mei Occurrence in Simulated Universe: Gold and Gear

The Ruan Mei Occurrence is one of the rarest and hardest to find in the Honkai Star Rail Simulated Universe Gold and Gear game mode. This Occurrence provides a ton of resources to the player which can be very helpful when playing at the hardest difficulty level, the Conundurum Mode. Fortunately, there is a way to get guaranteed Ruan Mei Occurrence in the Simulated Universe Gold and Gear game mode. However, it requires players to tweak and customize their dice with the right faces to maximize their chances of appearing.

How to get Ruan Mei Occurrence in Honkai Star Rail Simulated Universe: Gold and Gear

Required Custom Dice Setup

Players must first unlock the Domain: Custom Dice named Pursuit. Players must then set their Custom Dice with the following dice faces;

Golden Dice Face

• General: Inspiration

Purple Dice Face

• General: Attention

• General Counteract

• Domain: Self

Blue Dice Face

• General: Dialects

• “Any Buff Type Dice Face”

All the dice faces on the list are highly recommended except the Buff Type. Players must consider bringing a buff dice face that compliments their party lineup.

How it works?

There are currently a total of 17 unique Occurrences in the Simulated Universe Gold and Gear. Most of these can only appear once per run while a few of them can appear multiple times. The primary goal is to go through every single Occurrence: Abnormal domains and clear as much Occurrence as possible until there is barely anything left but the Ruan Mei Occurrences.

This can be done by entering multiple Occurrence: Abnormal domains with a “Double” (x2) or “Select” enhancement. This will allow players to clear multiple Occurrence types in one domain. Repeating this multiple times will eventually lead to both Ruan Mei Occurrences appearing as the pool of unexplored Occurrence scenarios decreases.

How to get Ruan Mei Occurrence

After setting your Custom Dice, you can start playing the Simulated Universe Gold and Gear. Simply follow the instructions to get a guaranteed Ruan Mei Occurrence;

• Select the difficulty level and the path you wish to take. Make sure the path compliments your team lineup.

• Select Pursuit as your custom dice. Make sure you have customized it with the right dice faces.

• Prioritize getting Cheat Codes or Reroll Chances. If you only have the option to obtain a Curio, select the one that gives four reroll chances or a cheat code. Hoard as much Cheat Code and reroll chances as possible.

• You will need to have either a Double or Choice-type Occurrence: Abnormal domains to start the process.

• If you can’t find any in the first plane, you may need to use a cheat and activate General: Attention or reroll until you get it.

• Once you get either an Occurrence: Abnormal domain with a “Double” or a “Select” enhancement, use your dice faces to copy these domains and have them multiply in the plane.

• Try and enter most of the Occurrence: Abnormal domains and select all of the Occurrence found inside. Keep in mind that the Select-type Occurrence: Abnormal domains only allow you to select one of the three choices.

• The Pursuit Custom Dice will allow you to jump to any Occurrence: Abnormal domains no matter the distance as long as they have not collapsed yet.

• Avoid the Cheating Code (I) and Genius Society #55 Yu Qingtu as much as possible as these are repeating  Occurrences and will most likely appear a lot even if you have cleared it once. 

• If you do need to encounter these domains, always select the first option for both of these domains to avoid bad events from activating.

• Simply repeat the process of copying and clearing Occurrence: Abnormal domains with a “Double” or a “Select” enhancement and a Ruan Mei Occurrence will eventually appear.

Keep in mind that there are two types of Ruan Mei Occurrence which can both appear once you have cleared most of the Occurrence in the Simulated Universe Gold and Gear.

If you are playing Simulated Universe Gold and Gear with Ruan Mei as an active member in your party, you will gain more from both her Occurrence scenarios.

• The Ruan Mei Part 1 will give you all the Blessings of a random Path and 2,000 Cosmic Fragments. This is ideally the best Occurrence to get before the second part. However, most of the time, you will not have the choice to pick whichever comes first.

• Ruan Mei Part 2 will enhance all of your obtained Blessings, provide 10 random Curios, and an additional 10 Cheat Chances. This is perfect if you have already acquired a ton of Blessings as all of them will be upgraded, saving you a lot of Cosmic Fragments.

It is still unconfirmed if HoYoverse intended for the guaranteed Ruan Mei Occurrence in the Honkai Star Rail Simulated Universe: Gold and Gear strategy to be a legitimate way to play. There is a possibility that an adjustment may be implemented in the future to prevent this scenario from happening.
