Highlights
Our recommended Yukong build for Honkai Star Rail patch 1.1 optimizes her damage output and buff.
She is a support who can boost your party's attack, crit chance and crit damage.

Yukong is the Helm Master of the Xianzhou Alliance’s Skyfaring Commission and one of the Xianzhou Luofu’s Six Charioteers. She was introduced in patch 1.0’s story quests and is now a playable character. She is currently available on the Luocha banner which also features Pela and Qingque as 4-stars. If you are looking forward to leveling her up, here is our recommended Yukong build for Honkai Star Rail patch 1.1.

Honkai Star Rail Yukong: Should you pull for her?

NO. She is a strong character who offers a massive attack bonus, crit rate and crit damage and is worth having on your account but you can obtain her without spending a single Stellar Jade. Yukong will be given out for free in Honkai Star Rail patch 1.1 for completing an event. Unless you are going for Luocha, you should save your Stellar Jade for future characters instead.

Honkai Star Rail Yukong: Light Cones

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds and Past and Future are two of the best options available to players. You can get Past and Future for free via the Echo of War Rewards or Jeweler’s Pagoda. Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds can be obtained from the Nameless Honor battle pass (paid).

Past and Future: When the wearer uses their Skill, then the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 16% increased DMG for 1 turn(s).

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds: One of the following effects is applied randomly at the start of combat and whenever the wearer takes action: Increase all allies' ATK by 10%, increase all allies' CRIT DMG by 12%, or increase all allies' Energy Regeneration Rate by 6%. The applied effect cannot be identical to the last effect applied, and will replace the previous effect. The applied effect will be removed when the wearer has been knocked down. Effects of the similar type cannot be stacked.

Honkai Star Rail Yukong: Best Relics

Wastelander of Banditry Desert (4-piece)

2 Piece: Increases Imaginary DMG by 10%.

4 Piece: When attacking debuffed enemies, the wearer's CRIT Rate increases by 10%. If the enemy is Imprisoned, then the wearer's CRIT DMG increases by 20%.

Fleet of the Ageless (Planar Ornament)

2 Piece: Increases the wearer's Max HP by 12%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, all allies' ATK increases by 8%.

Honkai Star Rail Yukong: Best Traces to level

Yukong is a 4-star character which might be surprising to a lot of players. Despite her importance in the Xianzhou Alliance’s storyline, she will be joining the list of playable characters as a 4-star Imaginary support. Her kit was leaked earlier this month and here are all her abilities.

Basic Attack - Arrowslinger: Deals 130% of Yukong’s ATK as Imaginary DMG to a target enemy.

Skill - Emboldening Salvo: Obtains 2 stacks of Roaring Bowstrings (maximum 2 stacks). When Roaring Bowstrings is active, the ATK of all allies increases by 75% and 1 stack of Roaring Bowstrings is removed after every turn by an ally, except for the turn in which Yukong gains Roaring Bowstrings by unleashing Skills.

Ultimate - Divine Kestrel: When using her Ultimate, if Roaring Bowstrings is active on Yukong, all allies’ CRIT Rate additionally increases by 27% and CRIT DMG increases by 62%. At the same time, deals Imaginary DMG equal to 361% of Yukong’s ATK to a single enemy.

Passive - Seven Layers, One Arrow: Basic Attacks deal 75% of Yukong’s ATK as Imaginary DMG to a target enemy, and increases Break-Effect of this attack by 100%. This effect can be triggered once every 2 turn(s).

Trace 1 - Attack: After attacking an enemy and entering battle, the enemy’s corresponding Type Toughness will be weakened.

Trace 2 - Chasing the Wind: After Technique is used, enter Sprint Mode for 20 seconds. While in Sprint Mode, Movement Speed increases by 35% and Yukong receives 2 stacks of Roaring Bowstrings when she enters battle by attacking enemies.

Honkai Star Rail Yukong: Eidolons

Eidolon 1 – Aerial Marshal: At the start of battle, increases the SPD of all allies by 10% for 2 turn(s).

Eidolon 2 – Skyward Command: When any ally’s current energy is equal to its energy limit, Yukong regenerates an additional 5 energy. This effect can only be triggered once for each ally. The trigger count is reset after Yukong casts her Ultimate.

Eidolon 3 – Torrential Fusillade: Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.

Eidolon 4 – Zephyrean Echoes: When “Roaring Bowstrings” is active, Yukong deals 30% more DMG to enemies.

Eidolon 5 – August Deadshot: Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.

Eidolon 6 – Bowstring Thunderclap: When Yukong uses her Ultimate, she immediately gains 1 stack(s) of “Roaring Bowstrings”.

We hope our Yukong build for Honkai Star Rail patch 1.1 helps you get the most out of the character. For more content, consider checking out our Luocha build. We also have a guide for Kafka in case you want to start pre-farming for her.
