Honkai Star Rail Pure Fiction Herta Guide: Best Build, Teams and More
Remember that Purple character you got for free?
Pure Fiction is a recently released game mode in Honkai Star Rail, that allowed the resurgence of Erudition characters. Herta is one of the few characters that was once considered underwhelming. However, the Honkai Star Rail Pure Fiction game mode provides the perfect platform for characters like her to shine. This led to some players looking to know more about Herta, including her best build, suggested relics and light cones, as well as a good team composition.
Here is a Honkai Star Rail Pure Fiction Herta guide, including suggested builds, Relics, Light Cones, Team Compositions, and more.
Herta Pure Fiction Build
Keep in mind that this Herta build guide is specifically catered for Pure Fiction game mode. This may not be optimal in other content.
Relics
4x Hunter of Glacial Forest
This is a general build for Herta as she is an Ice unit. Considering how fast enemies drop below 50% HP, you will be seeing Herta spinning a lot and regenerating energy for her Ultimate ability, allowing you to activate the 4-piece effect of Hunter of Glacial Forest more frequently.
4x The Ashblazing Grand Duke
This increases her follow-up attack damage significantly. However, the 4-piece effect may be inconsistent as it gets removed after her next follow-up attack.
2x Hunter of Glacial Forest and 2x The Ashblazing Grand Duke
This hybrid build is actually quite good. The 4-piece effects can be ignored when you can easily eliminate enemies in Pure Fiction, especially if you pair Herta with Himeko. You get the best of both worlds with bonus Ice DMG from Hunter of Glacial Forest and the follow-up attack damage boost from The Ashblazing Grand Duke.
Planar Ornaments
Inert Salsotto
Provides additional Crit Rate as well as Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG, three stats that Herta relies a lot on.
Firmament Frontline: Glamoth
Provides a ton of ATK stat for Herta. However, the SPD requirement is quite high if you wish to maximize this Planar Ornament.
Space Sealing Station
The old and weaker version of Firmament Frontline: Glamoth but with lesser SPD requirement.
Light Cones
Before Dawn
This 5-star Light Cone is considered one of the best for Erudition characters. This provides Crit, Skill, Ultimate, and Follow-up DMG boost.
This Light Cone works best when equipped on Jing Yuan. If you have him, consider other options for Herta.
This can only be acquired during Jing Yuan's character and Light Cone banners.
Night on the Milky Way
Most of the time, you will be facing groups of enemies in the Honkai Star Rail Pure Fiction game mode. This Light Cone provides bonus ATK % for each enemy on the field, up to five stacks. It also increases the damage dealt to weakness broken enemies.
Himeko will need this as this is her signature Light Cone. If you have her, consider other options for Herta.
This Light Cone can be acquired in the Starlight Exchange for 600 Undying Starlight.
The Seriousness of Breakfast
This Free-to-play (F2P) 4-star Light Cone is very cheap to acquire as it can be purchased in the Priceless Jewels shop. At level 5 Superimpose, this Light Cone provides a 24% DMG boost as well as an additional 8% ATK increase per enemy killed, up to 3 stacks. Considering how easily you can clear waves in Pure Fiction, this Light Cone can hit maximum stacks fast.
Geniuses’ Respose
This works slightly similar to The Seriousness of Breakfast Light Cone. At level 5 Superimpose, it increases your ATK by 32% and an additional 48% CRIT DMG increase when Herta defeats an enemy.
This Light Cone can only be acquired through Warp banners, making it hard to Superimpose compared to the free-to-play option.
The Birth of the Self
This is Herta’s signature Light Cone. This is good considering how she will be doing a lot of follow-up attacks in Pure Fiction.
This Light Cone can only be acquired through Warp banners, making it hard to Superimpose compared to the free-to-play option.
